Great player, not greatest tiger ever.

In my opinion it would be T. Kinchen.

I disagree. As spectators, we rarely have the opportunity to see what we would call "heart". We don't practice or lift or go through workouts with 'em. Two plays that stick out in my mind in the past decade regarding "heart", are Hester's and Clayton's chasing down the guy who picked off the pass and was gone, if not for them. Of course, this is but one example, in the context of how many passes that were returned for TD's this year.

greatest linebacker ever Michael Brooks.
Greatest Tiger ever a few candidates here:
Gaynell Tinsley
Jerry Stovall
Tommy Casanova
Bert Jones
Dalton Hilliard
Michael Brooks
Tommy Hodson
Kevin Faulk
Laron Landry
Glen Dorsey
am sure I may have missed a few and if not only players
Charles Y McClendon
Jim Corbett
Bradie was good but not quite at the level of above

like i said.. apples and oranges when you start ranking the players. Your opinion is as good as mine, but I will say that Michael Brooks sets the bar on LBs., in my opinion.

I know I'll miss some but how about:
Eric Andolsek
Shawn Burks
Hokie Gajan
Alan Risher
Albert Richardson
Michael Brooks
Kevin Faulk
Lyman White
Eric Hill
Charles Alexander
Joseph Addai
Laron Landry
These are some of the toughest guys pound for pound that I remember watching play. I would have gone to battle with these guys any time.

The greatest Tiger of them all hummm, very hard question:
1. Doc Fenton did it all, lead the team in scoring, rushing, passing, punting, punt returns, kick offs, kick returns, interceptions, Field goals, extar points, one of the top three in tackling in 1908 and 1909 and was the best end in America in 1906 and 07*. In 1908 he also was one of our top 5 in receiving even playing QB. Talk about wide open offense Wingard was light years ahead of football in those days just like Pop Warner.
2. Billy Cannon lead the team two years running in most areas, not on the level of Fenton overall.
3. very close call Gaynel Tinsley, more of a DE/OLB than a TE/WR type. He lead LSU on defense for three years and blocked more kicks than any other player in LSU history. Was a force on defense for LSU on the level of Michael Brooks for 3 years.
4. Tommy Casanova, simply the best CB in college football two years running, and only his playing hurt his Sr. kept him from being the best three years running. Even playing hurt his Sr year he was better than 90% of all college CBs.
If you watch Sheppard's film you will get an idea of what kind of player Doc Fenton was, he was more of a Gayle Sayers than a Jim Brown.
*1906 was at Mansfield Normal School.

I apologize to you and the board for any confusion... My comment was intended to be directed to LSU=Awesome's opinion about Hester, not your response, which I agree with.
