Frey is one of the hottest hitters in America this postseason

Frey has cooled off. Hasn’t had a hit in 3 games, since his 4 hit game in regional.

They need to get Larson more at bats. I wouldn’t blame him if he hit the portal

While I will agree that Frey is a great hitter, he did get pinch hit for in his last AB.

with fry struggling at the plate? he goes one game against big league arms, in which he doesn't hit 3 balls over 110 mph off the bat, and all of a sudden he's struggling? he's our best hitter.. thank God jay johnson is the head coach and not you lmfao

Jay pinch hit Brown in Frey’s last AB. Even Jay can see that he’s struggling.

I’d be happy if he could hit .270 with his defense.

I would be happy with .200

I think Braswell plays just because of his defense which came into play last nite

Braswell is so good at starting the double play. His throws to the second basement are perfect every time. So I will start Braswell. I would also move Joan down the order back to hitting sixth.

It just sucks you have to pick your poison with those two. Do you want above average to really good 3rd base play in the field yet horrible at the plate and an automatic out or do you want a guy that can get good contact at the plate most appearances but have to hold your breathe every time a ball is hit to 3rd base?

Wished they could find a guy that can do both.

The Fat Pearson...

Best bat of the three. No idea if he can pick it.

The way Braswell played defense tonight (and all season) he will continue to play Braswell and if need be pinch hit Reaves later in the game.

I was thinking possibly the opposite. Reeves against the righty and Braswell in by the 6th for defense no matter who's pitching.

Ashton Larson should lead off the first inning and be penciled in as the starting third baseman.

When we head to the field he gets replaced by Michael braswell. It works as kind of a preemptive pinch hit, and reaves is still available to sub in later if needed. (This all assumes we're away as LSU sports.net shows).

This is not too far off from what he actually did.
