You know what I would take out of this statement if I was an NFL coach......D. Byrd not a team player probably could cause problems down the line with a young qb great stats and speed not worth as much money as we once thought. That could just be me though.
Its just you.
This was the out come through the season..
1. Hatch - He didn't have the strength to throw deep balls and he ran a lot.
2. Jarrett Lee - Either he would throw it over his head or threw interceptions. Rarely did he threw it between the numbers.
3. True Freshman Jordan Jefferson - By the time he came in, the season was just about over. Then Byrd gets a knee injury.
D. Byrd has a case.
One QB has Transfered back to Harvard -Hatch
Another QB will probably never going to see the field again - Lee

All you assholes act as though you were in the huddle - get a life and a clue.
I judge based on what I see for myself. What I saw justifes questions about his comittment and effort. At the least everyone should be able to agree that he DID NOT exhibit the leadership expected of a senior. Lafell and Scott, as juniors, exhibited more. Everyone is not cut out to lead. They should not quit however, and this is how it looked, not from the huddle but from my seat in TS. This is my life and clue.
One last shot across the bow of the QB's, who did not quit despite being younger and under much more preessure reinforces my opinion of him. Good luck in Oakland or Dallas.

Byrd= Free Agent
He shouldnt be waiting by the phone.

Byrd cost Byrd money this year with his less than stellar attitude. In all likleyhood he just cost himself some more.
There is usually some risk of signing a JC player. Byrd gave a good example why all season long.

He acted as if he was hurt most of year. Took a lot of plays off. He can go to hell

I will mail you my payment a little early.

That was only part of the interview, I asked him the question, and it was, do you feel you had more to prove today because you had a quarterback who couldn't get you the ball this season. He answered the way I asked it, it wasn't like he was throwing anyone under the bus, and it's not like he was lying. LSU's passing attack hurt that dude's future at the next level, he went from a playmaker to a sulker because he wasn't getting the ball, and he'd be the first to admit it.
Byrd also said it was his fault, he let his attitude affect his play, he said that was the one thing his agent told him he would have to work on, Byrd was pretty honest about the whole thing. I was surprised. I would have thought he would have hid behind excuses, but he owned it.

While Byrd was right about the QBs, the dude had a bad attitude throughout the season. I wouldn't go as far as calling him a cancer, but that is word I heard from people close to the program.

What did Byrd have to say about his juggle against Bama?
Posted on 3/16/09 at 7:48 pm to WHATDOINO
Wow - brilliant retort. I suppose we can assume you aren't an attorney.

If Byrd was a team player.. perhaps I'd give some weight to what he's saying.
I appreciate his help in 2007. But in 2008 he was my least favorite Tiger. Team players don't let shitty attitudes get in the way.

Ok Templars, I admit it, Byrd was the greatest wide receiver in LSU's history. He pissed lightning, and shite thunder. He was also the only wr in history to never miss a pass that within 15 yrds of his fingertips.
He also gave all his money to charity, and visited nursing homes on the weekends.
He also knew Jesus was his homeboy.
He blocked so well that Miles had him the number 2 fullback behind QJ
