Could practicing against possibly the best offensive line in the country be making them look bad?

They'll have to play against high caliber offensive linemen in big games

DL is fair. It will be good enough. Our OL will make them better.

rush opponents decision making

Our fan base in a nutshell boys and girls.

How do you rush opponents decisions when your interior DL is the weak link?

I haven't seen that reported so I'm interested to read/listen to those reports.

Let's hope they mimic the success of the freshmen years of Campbell, Jones and Perkins.

If they're so good at scouting and assessing the quality of football players, why are they in media and not in coaching?

This becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. No one can conclude anything today. It is not that hard to get to average with coaching. Do we have the number one defensive line in the SEC no…. Can we be successful with average. Yes…

Just keep in mind we literally have one of, if not, the best O-line in the country....

Having Bo Davis will make a difference. He’s a really good coach. The DL will struggle in spots, but they will make their plays.

Well they aren’t good. We will lose three games strictly because of the d line

Pass rush yes. Run defense I would say no. I mean there are things you can do. But I don’t think there is much you can do that will not expose you somewhere else.

I’m not saying the DL will be good, but I find it hard to take anyone seriously if they are “reporting” that the DL looks bad at practice after 1 day with no pads. Sounds more like speculation based on the roster than an actual practice report.

Man the Rant just loves to deal in absolutes. Reliford is a beast and will be a big contributor this year but he’s an edge. Dom physically looks like a NFL dlineman but his play on the field hasn’t yet lived up to his hype. He’s going to need to come a long way in a short time to contribute this year.

I think to help the d line we should have them practice against our second and third team o line guys. Our o line is as elite as it gets in college football. They will make most d lines we play look silly. Guillory, Paez, Lee, Suggs are going to be average at best. Give them a chance to have competitive practices and build confidence.

You’ve had your eyes and ears closed, and you’re in denial sweetie if you don’t realize our DL sucks right now. Especially at DT

Let’s see….First day of practice for true Freshmen DL up against the best offensive line in all of college football. How good do you really expect them to look?
