I think he took a step back this year. He was supposed to lock down one side of the field, as said by many fans. I just didn't see where he the hype was deserved this year.
He could come back to improve, but most of my memories of him are of him getting beat way too many times this year when in one-on-one coverage. Doesn't seem strong or physical enough yet. Maybe overrated as PR also. Just my opinion. I just don't see his greatness yet.

in the 2015 NFL Draft, the LAST player picked in the first round had a contract with GUARANTEED money of $6.1 million ($7.6 million total contract)
MIDDLE Second Round pick, $2.4 million guaranteed ($4.8 million total)
LAST pick Second Round, $1.2 million guaranteed ($3.7 million total)
If a player's draft grade is high enough, he has to go.

I think Toliver is the best CB we've had since Peterson.
Mathieu is the baest since Peterson. White is next, followed by Mo. Maybe Tolliver is next, but Donte is giving him a run for his money.

R. Robinson said he wants /plans to be back in January.
Nothing out of LSU on this.

Rashard R. did i miss something sir he coming back?
He posted a picture of himself in his LSU uniform with the caption "January 2016." He didn't say if it was LSU or not though so I'm just being hopeful. Somebody posted it on the rant this morning.

No he is not coming back to play for crazy, sick, need to retire Les. Just think about why all the top players from south Florida are gone? There will be more on that coming out soon. And they will never be able to get top players long as Les is the HC...

I think he did. He's the best we have and one of the best in the SEC. Couple of less than stellar games, but for the most part he was awesome.

The tide has turned a bit on everyone leaving early. The O Line guys have stayed for their senior years two years in a row now, and Mills stayed last year. It wouldn't surprise me if most of the junior stay. I think we only lose one or two.
As good as White is, Beckwith and Pocic are the two we need to stay the most.
This! Alexander would have been a top 3 round guard last year but came back. IMO, Pocic is staying. He hasn't gotten really any work as a tackle and should have LT locked up!
They need to get Beckwith to come back. He is 3rd rounder right now, but he has the measurables and if he puts up a productive season like Minter, could be a 1st round player next year. He can most definitely improve his stock.
If that happens we'll have the top 6 on OL, the top 8 on DL, the starting MLB, everybody in the secondary minus Mills, every WR, the top 2 TEs (Gordon went down 3 games in), every RB, every QB, and every FB.
It's SEC Champs or bust next year if this happens. We are 2nd recruiting class and 5th recruiting class in the past 2 years, and will be in the top 3 recruiting class this year and loaded with experience everywhere.
ETA:
If we keep the coaches you'll have Cam in his 4th, Grimes in his 3rd, Ball in his 2nd, Steele is his second, and Ed O in his 2nd.
Seriously, no excuse if we retain the guys we should.

Nah. Claiborne is the best CB since Peterson and Mathieu is the best playmaker since Peterson.
Claiborne was a lock down cover corner in his last two years and was the last great int man. He had 11 ints in 2 years. Nobody has even came close to a 2 year starting career like that as just an outside CB for LSU.
Mathieu was all over the place as a nickel which let him make plays all over the field. It's why he is so damn good as an inside CB/S now (70 tackles, 1 sack, 4 ints, 1 TD in 11 games).

I heard that he told his mom he is staying to get his degree
I hope he stays, but it isn't like he couldn't go to the NFL AND get his degree.
Lots of guys have earned their degree while playing pro ball.

What? We consistently have gotten top players every year under Les.

Would be amazing if he came back
However even if he didn't I think a guy named Saivion Smith would help ease the pain of losing him
