Thanks for the vid'. It was nice to see the old Tiger logo on the side of that helmet. I get that the new logo is easier to produce, but that old tiger head sure looked a lot nicer to me.

Our D-Line needs to attack

And pre-season all American team has him as 1st team QB; Nuss as 2nd team QB.

I'm just about ready to be done with the talking and ready for the actual game to take place.

Don’t worry - our defense likes to make opposing QBs look like the second coming of Johnny Manziel

I know one thing and that is yalls D-line will decimate our O-line.

I think the biggest difference in Nuss and Klubnik is Nuss is going into his second year of starting and Klubnik is third year starting.
Nuss has a higher chance of seeing larger improvements from last year. Klubnik is more likely to stay on his same track.
Not saying it means one team or the other is going to win game one.

I've only seen him a few times, but I'm looking forward to the game. It should be a good one!

Wow, an honest, measured, insightful post from a Clemson fan.
What are you doing here?
A lot of what you said could have been said about Nuss during a 3 game stretch last season. It will be an interesting game, for sure.

He has alot of “scheme” throws…
What I mean is most of his passes are designed to go to one receiver, no read, just snap, drop, throw. Spurrier did this alot. Alot of the negatives you refer to are actually plays where he is required to make a decision or the play breaks down. Good defensive backfields make qbs like this have a bad day.

Do you have any recommendations for Gameday at Clemson? What parts of campus to see, go-to restaurants, parking tips, things to do with kids, etc.
Where are y’all staying? Clemson is… how do I say this… SMALL! The campus itself is incredibly walkable so I’d say park as close as you can, but anywhere really is fine. If you get there early enough and put the Esso Club in your gps, there’s a bunch of streets behind it where you can pay folks $50 to park in their front yards. It’s first come first serve so ya can’t rock-up at 2 and expect to get a spot, but if you’re there at a good time, you’ll be able to park two hundred yards from the stadium.
As far as game day spots, the Esso Club is the mecca of gameday spots at Clemson. It’s a great old dive sports bar that sets up a huge indoor and outdoor parking lot setup. Downtown has a handful of spots. Study Hall (if it’s nice for its rooftop) and Charleston Sports Pub are probably the most popular spots.
If you’re bouncing around, swing by our tailgate in Lot 2! It’s directly north of the stadium in the grass lot. We’ve got a lot of LSU crossover in our crew so there will be a good bit of tigers from both sides at our setup. Just look for the crew that has orange plus a decent amount of purple and gold. Any on here are welcome if ya come for a good time and are down for some drinking and eating.
One thing I would say about Clemson fans is they’re not the most naturally welcoming crew. It’s the Carolinas, folks here are nice, very polite, and genuinely kind, but I wouldn’t say they’re the typically boisterous, outgoing, fun-natured shittalkers that you’d usually expect on gameday. You can get invited into tailgates, but I wouldn’t lead with the busting balls or folks will get offended / think you’re an a-hole (yea I know, it’s pretty lame, but it is who a lot of Clemson fans are). Once they loosen up, you can do some good-natured ribbing, but it ain’t the default love language for Clemson folks.

This has not always been the case and we haven't seen this defense play yet but glad you have used the last couple years to make these claims. We used to have defenses that made QBs look pedestrian. Like you know Johnny Manziel had two of his worst games against LSU. Was a combined 0-2 with 5 interceptions against LSU. That is how we were customed to making QBs look against us. I look forward to seeing that type of defensive performance again.

Here is one for Nuss
Strengths:
Arm Talent: Nussmeier possesses a strong and accurate arm, capable of making throws at all levels of the field. His ability to deliver precise passes on timing routes is a key asset.
Football IQ: He demonstrates good decision-making and poise in the pocket, showing the ability to read defenses and progress through his reads effectively.
Mobility: While not primarily a rushing quarterback, Nussmeier has enough athleticism to escape pressure and extend plays when needed.
Mechanics: His throwing mechanics are smooth and efficient, which helps with accuracy and reduces the risk of turnovers.
Areas for Improvement:
Consistency: Like many young QBs, consistency in reading defenses and delivering under duress will improve with experience
.
Pocket Presence: Continuing to develop his ability to navigate the pocket against strong pass rushes will be important, especially facing defenses like Clemson’s.
