re: Credit Card Charges from Tiger Stadium

Cash can’t work at a stadium venue with the type of staff they hired, the theft gets out of control. Cashiers won’t ring up items and instead just pocket the cash
Also lol @ staff stealing credit card number to overcharge you, that would be of 0 benefit to them

Cameras will shut that down

Good luck running cameras in that many stands with that much volume. Not to mention the smart ones learn to do the math in their heads and only ring up some items and give correct change, it’s impossible to prevent in a cost effective way

This happened to me during the Opener last year against USC at allegiant stadium. Took them over a week to charge my card. I’d imagine this is common at an event with tens of thousands of people buying food drinks from the same merchant.

Then make it self check out that prints a receipt that you hand to the worker and you only get what you paid for.
Hopefully they know how to read.

No, everything processes immediately with a temporary charge/hold. What may be showing up is the final amount posting as potential tips can take a few days to post. The processors go down fairly regularly, but cards won’t run in that event. Maybe LSU is just scamming its own fans

Someone decided to settle the batch
Why would you steal credit card and only use the actual amount you spent? When the stole it?

Well the majority of people lay a tip for drinks because these guys get paid $2.50 an hour

LSU has fans that are having their card numbers stolen by the animals working concessions and they are doing nothing about it.

Actually. That is incorrect. These groups are "volunteer" groups raising money for their group. They get a portion of the total sales. It used to be 13%. Concessions (the company running it) has to give 40% to LSU. Between those two they have already lost more than 50% of the retail of the item. It's why they have to charge so much. Btw, one of the biggest cost for them is ice. You can literally see your profits melting away.

Also, its immature to get drunk during a college football tailgate and game now?
To be so drunk that you don’t remember how many trips to the concession stand you made (by the way, how fat are you?) or to have even an inkling of how much money you’ve spent? Yes, yes it is.

It does say for all debts public and private on the bills.
This doesn’t mean what you think it means. It doesn’t mean people are required to take cash.
Only a couple cities nationwide require businesses to accept cash, but those are local laws and not federal.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think the volunteer groups are running the beer stands. Those people presumably have to have their server permits from ABC (“bar cards”).

Tap to pay is the answer. Fucccckkk giving someone who can barely run a concession stand my CC

I thought I tapped with my creditcard but maybe not. I was a bit distracted when the guy asked for my ID. I definitely have an “extra” transaction currently pending though.
If the charge shows pending, you haven’t actually been double-charged. If the charge actually posts twice, then you have a legitimate issue. But even then, it has nothing to do with “safeguarding your card from the workers.”
I’m not gonna rule out the possibility that there’s some issue with the payment processing but it’s laughable to suggest that concessions workers are stealing your card info to buy more concessions.

I keep my dinero where they cannot get it, but I hear you.

I didn’t claim they stole my card genius. Reading isn’t your strong suit. I’m willing to chalk it up to incompetence. I asked what could be done to safeguard card info to prevent this situation.
In reviewing the charges, it appears a charge from the Florida game did not actually post or show as pending to my card until this past Saturday, which raises a lot of other questions for me.

I worked in IT for years. My guess is the errors are software bugs from the vendors.
