Thanks for the help. I have reached out to his son on Facebook. I cannot find anything online that shows he has passed. I would really love for he and my father to reconnect but it may be too late. Thanks again.

as some have mentioned he owned a Texaco on Highland in TigerTown while I was in school from 1980-1984.

In case you haven’t gotten in touch with any of Crowe’s relatives, he is alive and well. I am friends with his barber and he actually cut Crowe’s hair at his house yesterday. I’m sure he can help getting some contact information. Still lives in Baton Rouge.

Someone mentioned earlier that he used to work out at Foxy's. Not sure if he still goes, but I know he was always there early in the morning. There is a big group of old members that have been at that gym every morning for years. It might be worth checking with someone there if you aren't able to track him down another way.

The rumors of Crowe's passing are greatly exaggerated!
He lives across the street from me. Talk to him daily. Still in great shape for 86. walks his dog three times daily. Great guy, great friend, fun to talk to.
Hasn't been to foxy's since the quarantine! His wife keeps him on a short leash.
My wife and daughter pick up groceries for he and his wife since they are in that vulnerable category.
One of his daughters works for Garrett Graves in Washington.
He lives across the street from me. Talk to him daily. Still in great shape for 86. walks his dog three times daily. Great guy, great friend, fun to talk to.

Just called and talked to Crowe (through his wife). He was at Foxy's this morning at 4:30 hitting the speed bag, much to her consternation LOL!
He can't quite place your dad with just Troy or Sonny. He asked if I knew the person's last name and I told him I didn't have that information.
I did tell them how complimentary everyone was being about him on the site.

Emergent C. Steve: Last name Scoggins. I don't think they have spoken since my dad was in the service back in the early 50's. Sixty plus years, that's a long time. My father always spoke very highly of him.

I’m pretty sure I knuckle-checked him over the weekend at the Spring Garden Sonic in Greensboro. If not your dad’s friend, then I took a sound arse whipping from a rando geriatric. Sorry, I didn’t get the license plate, both my eyes were swollen shut.

That’s great, I must have confused the closing of his service station on Jefferson Hwy. with his passing. I’m glad to hear he is fine. My dad saw him box in college and told me he was a heck of a boxer at a time when boxing in college was big.
