I disagree with this
It's Kelly's job to get Boutte on board. This is an opportunity to get his head right. It may be impossible. But, Kelly needs to try and solve this problem.
In the end, if Boutte just refuses to participate, then sure...cut bait.

And even back then the whole ‘tradition’ was already getting played out and losing its allure.
It really needs to be shelved for a while instead of forcing it every year. It does not serve it’s purpose anymore.

it means nothing and hasnt meant anything since before miles left
at this point its nothing more than a token handed out rather then earned or anything that comes with expectations from the players

Screw his arse and if Gordon wants to pay a player who loafs, doesn’t listen to his coaches, and has an attitude toward LSU then let him go work for Gordon (but I doubt Boutte Offers a lot if he isn’t suiting up for LSU).
