Yep, Without see the whole field view as the play develops its hard to know where the problem was last night. Were the receivers not getting open or was Daniels waiting too long and not confident to make the throw?

The offense has a problem because they never have a dump route.

So, you are saying he did what he had to do when it mattered? That’s what I get from that.

He’s not a very good QB and you have posters on here saying he played “great.”

I haven’t seen much said he was playing great. It’s more of defending a young man because he looked like one of maybe 7 or 8 guys who gave a shite for 3 quarters of the game. I could list 15 guys I was more disappointed in than him.

If you told me before the game he’d have 200+ yards passing and 100+ yards rushing I’d be pumped

And he completed 74% of his 35 passing attempts. And he threw for 4 TDs (but Boutte dropped 2).

And when running he ran for a very efficient 7 yards per carry.

Yeah, you take that.

It was good defense, not a drop. Some of you idiots have no idea what a legit drop is.

That’s fair (minus the name calling) but I was responding to a post that said Daniels didn’t trust his receivers. I think that throw is a pretty good example of trusting your #1 guy to make a play.

Yes, that’s on Denbrock and he didn’t adjust until second half, that’s too slow of an adjustment time. When you see your offensive line struggling out of the gates , you better adjust routes immediately.

When you're a ball hog and take off running every play then yes, you will have all the total yardage.

I think he can be successful if the line gave him more protection. By successful, I mean wins.

Heck, without protection, he was over 70% accurate, had 2 massive drops by the top WR for td’s, lead us on a 99 yard drive to tie the game with under 2 mins left, and had zero turnovers in his first start in the sec!

Imagine how bad he would have played if he was not mobile …

e. He gets us some yards, but it’s meaningless if that doesn’t translate into points.

They had the ball 8 times. Take one of those out for end of half. In 7 possessions, he put them in position for points 5 times.

They WRs become disinterested if not involved, yet they could’ve produced some bigger plays than Daniels’ runs if he had gotten them the balls in stride.

36 attempts not enough? He threw 36 passes, and also ran for over 100 yards, and was not the issue for any of the bad things that cost them the game.

It’s honestly baffling reading people complain about the qb. He was not the issue.

His accuracy looked fine, those fears are gone.

Agreed. He significantly missed on probably 3-4 throws. People compare him to Jefferson but I disagree. He was much more accurate than Jefferson.

Drops were the more significant issue.

I’m going to get labeled as a JD pumper but he honestly did better than I expected.

Just needs to throw on the move.

It’s an important and rare skill to scramble keeping eyes down field. It can take a good play (10 yard scramble for a first) to an elite (40 yard td pass) burrow changed this from 2018 to 2019.

Daniels did better in second half

I’m not invested at all into either. If nuss starts next week great.

JD can do better but he wasn’t the problem.

You want him to block also? He drove the field in 1:04 seconds.
