Go look at the SEC schedule and tell me which game CBS is gonna pick instead of LSU/Florida or LSU/Bama for those particular weekends. CBS has first choice and they will pick the best matchup. Also, it doesn't matter what the schedules say right now. CBS picks their game and then the rest of the games fall in place. WVU will most likely be ESPN IMO, but CBS has interest should Bama or Arkansas fall flat on their face right out the gate(not likely).

LSU@UF or Bama@South Carolina? who would you pick?

Bama@LSU or Arkansas@South Carolina & Florida@Vanderbilt as your competition? who would you pick?

We are destined for a ton of day games this year.

Can someone explain why CBS likes to have the game of the week in the afternoon instead of at primetime? To me it seems like it would be more beneficial to have it as night...

Alabama

going to be a 2:30 game unless we suck or there is a double header

This could be at night if CBS selects it for the Primetime game they do each year. If LSU and Bama or both undefeated by this game I think it would be in primetime. IMHO.

How crazy would Tiger Stadium be for a undefeated LSU/Bama match up?

Bama and Florida will get the primetime game. Florida will be 4-0 and all Bama needs to do is get passed Arkansas to be 4-0 as well.

CBS Primetime has come to Tiger Stadium twice the past three years. They're not gonna make it 3 for 4.

No double header that weekend. Here is the CBS schedule for 2010(just the dates and times....no teams) 2010

There was a time that LSU told the networks to kiss arse if you would not show the games at night time. Then came tbs and then came a little money here and there, and suddenly TS is sold to the highest bidders, that is corp., and thus the leaving of Tiger fans at half. I never would have ever believed this would happen in my life time and yes I did live through the curly hallman days and never did the stadium have such an exodus so early on. The east side of the stadium did us in. Would I give up the two national championships to go back and have the feel of being one with the rest of true Tiger Fans in The Greatest Stadium in the USA? I tell you, it's a tough choice.

I know I am just a sour grape, so go ahead and have at it guys......

Sorry. The SEC, CBS, etc. don't exist solely to cater to your tailgating schedule.

No one said they did.

I just don't see how LSU-Bama or LSU -UF would be a piss of the mill day game instead of a prime time game.

Also I can't remember how many times in the past few seasons that these games were day games.

There's only one CBS Primetime game all year, Bama-UF will likely be a top 5 matchup earlier in the season that is too good for CBS to pass up.

The "piss of the mill" day game you're referring to is the SEC Game of the Week for which we may be featured 4 or 5 times this season.

apparently you don't understand how CBS works. CBS picks best game of the day. CBS broadcasts its game at 2:30, thus if LSU is the best game of the day (which it is for Bama and UF games) then the game is at 2:30. What is hard to understand about that?

going to be a night game because Bama-UF is the same day
No, its a 2:30 CBS game. CBS is doing the double header that day w/ Bama/UF in primetime.

The only sure night games at home are McNeese and ULM. West Virginia is also almost certainly a night game. Miss. St. has a chance to be a night game on one of the ESPN networks but could also be the 11:30am game.

Games that are certain to be during the day are Tennessee, Bama and Ole Miss.

Tenn will likely be 2-2 heading into our game with us being 3-1 or 4-0.

Meanwhile a 4-0 Ole Miss team could be hosting 3-1 Kentucky.

Unlikely, but u never know. Bama will be at 2:30 and the OM game will depend on our records. Its a long season.

CBS has already said that the LSU/Tenn game will be early part of double header that day. No way the Ole Miss/UK game gets the early double header spot over LSU/UT, regardless of records. LSU/Tenn is the 2:30 game, FACT.

See link

"CBS will use its 3:30 telecast Oct. 2 for the Tennessee-LSU contest in Baton Rouge."

Ole Miss will also absolutely be the 2:30 game regardless of records. Check the schedule, there are no other good SEC games that day that could possibly take the 2:30 spot.

UNC- Night Game on ABC 7:00

Vanderbilt- NIght Game on ESPN U

Miss St- Night Game on some ESPN network

West Virginia- Night Game on ESPN

Tennesse- Day Game because Bama/UF will be prime time on CBS(but look at the bright side we dont have to listen to gary and verne all afternoon)

Florida- 2:30 CBS

McNeese- NIght Game on ESPN 3

Auburn- Night game on ESPN 2

Alabama- 2:30 CBS

UL Monroe- NIght ESPN 3

Ole Miss- 2:30 CBS

Arkansas- Only one I honestly have no hunch on, but im going with Night Game on ESPN

That's my best guess!

Um, it's not like LSU is taking the highest bid each week and choosing the schedule on their own. We're part of the SEC, the SEC has a TV deal with CBS/ESPN. That deal means if the networks want us to play early, we play early.

If we want to control the exact schedule of every game we play, we need to leave the SEC, go independent and do it ourselves. Think that's going to happen anytime soon?

Because most people outside of the southeast would rather watch Touched by an Angel or some BS other than SEC football on a Saturday night. Otherwise, CBS would have football on at night.

then why do you HOPE he predictions are true if you hate day game tailgating? His predictions have ALL the great home games (Tennessee, Bama, Ole Miss) being day games w/ only the ULM, McNeese and W.Virginia home games as certain night games w/ MSU also a possibility.

ETA: his home game predictions are exactly right.

Keep in mind 1 of the home games will be TigerVision (McNeese or ULM). Do those get carried on ESPN3?

And what makes you think MissSt or Vandy won't be the early morning slot?

because i know they will put a few during the day. first i hope none will be day games[won't happen] then i hope for no 11:30 games.[chance]
who we play is pointless because i will be tailgating [only thing that matters to me]
