Thanks to OP…
Busy day. I wasn’t able to follow this board or the game at all. I only just saw final score a minute ago when i clicked the website. I was legit considering to pay to watch rest of weekend.
I’m glad I read this thread at top of page first.
Sorry you got duped. Didn’t figure it would happen again.

On a side note, to say that I am extremely frustrated about a situation with the streaming earlier would be an understatement given the number of checks we had with our hosting company the past week. Things are good now, but still totally unacceptable
Holy shite, this sounds like a carbon copy response to the Round Rock Fiasco of 2023

first off, why don’t we ban this Kendall dude from these forums?
Let us help Cajun! I’d rather give him the 35$

Truthfully whoever D1 is paying to host the streaming services is at fault. Use that big D1baseball money to get a better server host.

I learned my lesson last year when I bought the weekend package and it was horrible. Kendall Rogers is a bitch!!!

So this douchebag basically just jacked a shitload of LSU fan's money...LSU fans that know who he is. That is not a good spot to be in. Good Lord. I feel bad him a.little bit now......

I haven’t purchased your broadcast at any time but, based on what I read here, I don’t plan on it at any time in the future. Listening to the game on 98.1 is a really good alternative. Sorry, it is what it is.

They didn't get my money this year.

I especially enjoyed the play by play guy just letting multiple pitches go by without saying shite. I mean WTF. Oh the screaming kid was icing on the cake.
You can’t afford a single field mic just so it sounds like baseball is being played?

Then why the hell are you wasting money on three insignificant baseball games even if they were solid broadcasts?
maybe baseball games are a way for him to “escape” for a while.
and $35 is not too much for a break from reality.
but doesn’t want to just wipe his arse with that money.

Hey there, everyone.
For those wondering, I was not intentionally staying away earlier. I was working with the server company via our technicians. I also didn't want to come up here and just make up some BS excuse when I didn't have a clue what I was talking about on the issue.
First of all, it's up to me and KP at D1 to make sure fans have a great experience. After 2023, we worked through several steps before the 2024 tournaments (without LSU) to make sure everything ran smoothly. It did. It ran great. But that was without LSU.
So, in the weeks leading up to this, we had multiple conversations and meetings with our tech team, along with the hosting company in charge. It was very much stressed that with LSU, Texas, etc, on the streaming side, we needed to make sure the server was prepared to house 10-15K people at a time. Three times this week we were assured that all preparations were made to avoid any potential hiccups. There's zero reason for fans to miss any of the games outside of some unforeseen circumstance.
Fast forward to the beginning of the LSU game, everything had run ultra smooth. I even texted Kyle thinking man this is so smooth, it almost worries me a bit. Lo and behold, when 6,000 people pinged the server at once (including one person who did it about 500 times a minute on his own), it sent the database queries into a tiffy. Again, that should never happen, whether 6,000 or 20,000 show up. Hell, we're paying a lot of money for that type of server space.
The other very difficult aspect of the hiccups early in the game is that we estimated that about 75% of the people were actually seeing the game, 20% were getting some damn 'waiting room' error and then another 5% were getting zero access to the site. That made it difficult, at least on my end, to attack every single complaint and issue. My understanding is that things were back to normal by the fifth inning. Still unacceptable.
I come on this board a lot - many times during nonstreaming hours - and I love reading what you guys say about LSU Baseball and the sport in general. When this kind of crap happens, it reflects on me, Kyle, and everyone at D1Baseball. So, the bucks stop here.
I know many of you were able to watch but if you were one of the ones who could not, I am giving those people who were having troubles a refund for the day. We are also uploading today's LSU game to our YouToube channel and not waiting until tomorrow to do it.
If you had a lot of trouble during the game today, feel free to email me kendallrogersd1@att.net and I'll refund the day to you.
Anyway - this entire situation is insanely annoying because I know many of you pretty well, and ultimately, it's embarrassing for D1 to have to deal with when we did a system of checks to avoid this. The server company has assured me there will not be a repeat of this, but the proof is in the pudding. It's a massive company, so there's zero reason to be having this issue.
I know some of you thought I would just run away and avoid criticism, but that's not who I am. If I'm going to encroach on your territory, I'm going to come take it like a man and answer any questions I can.
Appreciate you all! GT.

If I'm being honest, I had someone reach out to me asking if I wanted to shut her down. I told them if we shut her down right now, I'm going to wake up with a horse head in my bed.

People are being a little ridiculous. This shite happens. You’re offering a refund for the day. LSU won. It’s all good.
