Difference between BK/AT and LK/BG

BK and Austin Thomas obviously didn’t do their due diligence of a players character or completely whiffed on their evaluations of guys they signed. The vast majority of them came for a paycheck and didn’t have the heart to compete with the best. Now look at the guys LK and BG have brought in to Ole Miss. They got the complete package. Talent, production, and the heart to go out and fight. It may end up I’m wrong but I’m not sweating the portal. LK and BG know what they’re looking for. And sometimes it isn’t the big 5* because of a multitude of reasons. Just wanting a big payday being one of them.

The BK “regime” seemed to use On3 evaluations.
Nothing wrong with that except not every “good” player is right for every system.
BK did not bring any systems with him… so it’s really difficult to blame his personal people for not understanding what he’s trying to do.
Lane Kiffin has a long track record of doing certain things with certain types suppliers. He has brought people with him that understand what kind of players he is looking for.
This thing is going to get turned around. And I think it’s going to be glorious!

The proof is in the pudding. BK talked a big game, but couldn’t figure out how to win at the highest level. Lane has done more with less in his last 2 stops and is proving to excel in this current climate. When it got out on the wire he was ready to move on, every major program wanted him.
Now that he’s here, we can sit back and give him a chance to do what BK couldn’t. If half the roster is leaving, it’s probably for the best. If most of the incoming players aren’t from Louisiana, I couldn’t give 2 shits. If we didn’t land the first guy on the first fricking day, I don’t really care. The instant mashed potato society needs to be patient and give this (proven capable) staff some credit and let them cook

Don’t forget that BK and company had the number one portal class last year. How did that work out for us.
