Watching the documentary bout Bowden during Florida States good years brings u back. It’s probably much better than the game coming up. Boy has that program fallen of a cliff.

You realize that would be impossible unless one of us were playing at Hawaii this season, right? Other than a few FCS games, week 0 games are usually exceptions for Hawaii or teams playing outside of the lower 48, either that week or at some point during the season. Those schools get to schedule an extra game if they choose for doing that.

This game is supposed to be a glorified scrimmage. If their players have to sit around all day and play a night game instead of a quick day game, they lose the extra prep time I’m sure they are planning on having tomorrow. They have to travel to NOLA next week, so they are already losing time they hadn’t planned on.
This isn’t the end of the world vs an FCS opponent, but it does impact their schedule. UCLA had the ideal setup last season when they had Hawaii finished off by the early 3rd in a day game and cruised to the finish. Then they also had us coming to their place the next week. And then LSU also had the hurricane to deal with.

I always think back to that game too in these situations. My son was marching in the band for the first time that game. We stayed until they called the game about 10:30 because we didn’t want to miss the half time show.

He was bashing people based on the faulty logic that schedules are set years in advance. Which is wrong in this specific case.

Anyone watching this pre game talk think Mark Richt has some cognitive delay going on? I know he is older but he just seems markedly different from when I last saw him coach and heard him talk.
