We planned our wedding for March. Avoids every issue, plus I've been to Fall weddings involving football alums from various conferences, and a lot of the people (males) are checking the score throughout. Which I don't like. We also didn't want TVs.

The one good thing about this is that NO venues are booked over a year in advance (opposed to just one year advance), and we didn't know this so pushing past football season ended up making that easier.

Arkansas 2015 will be played on the day after Thanksgiving like it has been every year they've played at TS for the last decade.

Don't think I am. So we are playing A&M at home on TGiving weekend too? I thought that was just on the road?

If you legitimately care about someone, a wedding clearly takes precedent over a fricking game. Especially if there are TVs to watch the game with everyone. If you don't care about a person, don't go to the wedding. Seems simple to me.

Some of you people sound like pathetic gumps, like LSU football is literally all you have.

Arkansas is no longer our last week opponent. A&M is. We will play A&M in that role now.

I don't have anyone who really cares about hunting coming to my wedding

Not to mention the level of care of those other two are orders of magnitude lower. It's nice.

Well ya. But that was rather unnecessary. Our families aren't from LA either, so they aren't hillbilly enough to care about that stuff(not everyone from LA is a hillbilly before someone freaks) and are excited to come down. Just bonus all around

A "few weekends"? More like 16 and many the most desirable weekends of the yr weather wise in Louisiana.

I get the cost factor cause of season tickets, but acting like a couple is victimizing anyone if they want to have a wedding during, normally, what is the best time of yr to have family gathering in La is both selfish and and more than a tad controlling but each to our own. imo

Actually LSU played that night in a bowl game, and won, so it wasnt a total lose.
