my own dad would yell balk at me when i would throw over. it made me smile and calmed me down.

I was a LHP in college and i loved it when everybody would yell balk because it made me feel like i had a really good move. When Don Sutton was a commentator for the Braves he used to always say, "If you aren't balking, you aren't trying hard enough."

This is a HUGE pet peeve of mine.
There are 13 moves on the mound that can constitute a balk.
The average baseball fan knows ZERO to ONE of them.

How about fans that yell "Overrated" when their team beats a good one. You are basically chanting that you just beat an ordinary team.....not a good team.
