So when is it going to be okay to ask if our hitting philosophy needs to be questioned. Wanaka made his name with Barry, Crews, Dugas, Morgan, Beloso, Jobert, etc (a roster that just about anyone could have made a name with)

These guys are not competitive in an alarming number of ABs and strike out at a high rate. Strikeouts could be excused if we were scoring runs, but we're not

Not going to suggest that this team is on pace to light the world on fire, but it’s crazy how different the tone is based on one dropped strike 3 last night. If Milazzo corrals that ball and gets the runner at 1B, are people questioning the team’s development and leadership? Is everyone expecting to miss a regional?

Wanaka has literally had a top hitting team with Jay every year. If something is off I think it’s fair to give the dude a second

Wanaka made his name having an elite hitting team at Arizona not off the coat tails of Dylan crews

And Jay will continue to shift instead of playing straight up.

We’re in the bottom half of the SEC in strikeouts and the top half in walks. Our BABIP is awful

I think first you would need to determine whether or not it’s the philosophy or if it’s inexperienced players not executing. Go back and look at Arizona’s offensive stats from 2016-2021.

3 hits through 7. Don't matter who you have pitching.

Coach got tossed and the team didn’t even go down with a fight. This team may be fricked

If you’re playing baseball at LSU level, you need to already need to know how to hit. Coaches at that level aren’t offering some magical never heard of insight.

the very best hitters in the MLB have swing coaches and are constantly tweaking their swings. Hitting is not something you just learn and stop working on.

Pretty sure we could beat anyone in the nation in a popup contest. We’ve about mastered them.

That's just really an embarrassing inning. A pitcher with 100+ pitches and you get a weak fly out and two weak-arse foul outs. That's unacceptable.
