Meh, I hope this doesn’t turn into a “next year is our year” type situation every single season. It’s only BK’s 3rd season, but the reason I’m saying this now is because when season 1 started, I kept hearing, “season 3 is going to be the year.” Well, it’s season 3, and wouldn’t you know it, our defense will probably hold us back. Next year, though, for real. Just hope it isn’t that type of vibe every year of BK’s tenure.
With the money he’s making and the coaching staff we have, not to mention LSU and Louisiana football being what it is, there’s no reason to not be elite every single year, and making a 12 team playoff should be an absolute GIVEN. I’d say any season BK doesn’t make the playoffs for the rest of his time here, including this season, is a colossal failure.

Defense will be improved, but still poor.
Offense will take a step back due to who all they lost.
Schedule consists of USC, @ South Carolina (which, I think will be much more challenging than most assume), UCLA, Ole Miss (I believe this is finally their year to make it to Atlanta), @ A&M, Alabama, @ Florida, and Oklahoma.
I see 3, 4 losses.
Offense will take a step back due to who all they lost.
Schedule consists of USC, @ South Carolina (which, I think will be much more challenging than most assume), UCLA, Ole Miss (I believe this is finally their year to make it to Atlanta), @ A&M, Alabama, @ Florida, and Oklahoma.

This would be a joke. Not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying 4 losses with this coaching staff and top 10 recruiting classes would be an absolute disappointment. Our DL and secondary is the problem this year, and then next year we won't have the best OL in football, just seems like it's always gonna be something. This was supposed to be the year where it all clicked.
4 losses with this kind of money being spent and recruits like we have. That's some A&M shite. frick that.

When I see some of the 12 team brackets sites are predicting, i look the teams and think LSU has to get in...playoff or bust

I get that the DL and CB will be issues but Baker has been a coach that has gotten more with less. You made him one of the highest paid assistant coaches for a reason. BK coached teams almost always have a jump in Year 3. Let’s watch this play out

Mizzou won 11 games last year and no dt got drafted out the 4 that played in which all were SRs
LSU had 3 DTs drafted and had the worst defense in cfb

Ceiling : 10-2, Floor : 7-5 . Most likely 9-3 or 8-4. Daniels was a generational player last year and the receivers were great. The O will take a step back. The defense has to improve because it can't be worse than last year. Kelly is restocking the D line, but it's gonna take another year for the D to really improve. Nuss is the key this year.
