Ran into him on a few occasions...Hooters, tailgates, Shaq DJ-ing @ Freds. Always the nicest guy.

My niece was friends with Wade. Sorry to hear this.

RIP big fella #ForeverLSU

Watching Lex Morris knock down those mid-range shots in the title game reminded me of Sims. Smooth stroke.

He had that smooth jumper from the corner of the lane. Always nothing but nylon.

Prayers and condolences to his family. I played against him in HS when he was a star at Deridder High, he was a man amongst boys back then, one of La best. Rest easy Big man.

Shaq recently gifted Wayne and Stanley with a truck in gratitude for having driven him around when he arrived on campus with no wheels.

Wayne and Johnny jones are first cousins.

I met Wayne when I was in 8th or 9th grade during a campus visit. It was when the athletic offices were still located in the stadium. My little brother and I were looking for Shaq but came across Wayne instead. He was a very nice guy and got a kick out of us searching for Shaq.

Im sure the burden of losing his son the way he did caused stress.

Yes, after my brother passed at 39 years old, my dad (who had always been very healthy for his age and bragged about still being at his army weight) passed 6 months later. He died whispering my brother's name and reaching towards his picture on the wall.
