As I always expected. Maybe our head coach does not have the greatest reputation out in the real world

Scared to coach big boy football. Go to Notre Dame where expectations are low

Last time we saw Marcus Freeman’s defense, it played prevent and let Georgia get in position to kick a 52-yard FG to beat Cincinnati. Good luck at Notre Dame but let’s not act like Bill Belichick turned LSU down.

I’m sure Freeman a good coach. He’s not the only good coach. The question is whether Orgeron can be trusted to pick the right defensive coordinator. He’s 0-for-1 in the d-coordinator category hired so far.

Eh, I know it’s disappointing but he’s so close to being a HC that it’s a crapshoot for him either way. This way his family doesn’t have to move way down south and he’ll probably be getting HC looks next year. Key now is to keep aiming high and not go the “safe” route

Wife saw Baton Rouge and there was no amount of $ that would make her live there

Why would Freeman gamble his career on joining Ed Orgeron’s staff?
Waaaaay too much risk.
Not surprised and have said so.

He gets to stay close to home. It’s a family decision. No hard feelings Coach Freeman, but we’ll see you soon next January.

He chose to play in a weaker conference with weaker expectations. That’s very telling of who he is. Next man up. Stop whining like a bunch pussies. I guarantee money is the same if not more at LSU.

Anyone defending O after this is a delusional sunshine pumper, pure and simple. You don’t put all your eggs in one basket and then brag about that fact unless you KNOW. O with his 4th or 5th hiring DISASTER in 3-4 short years.

when he left BR without accepting the job, it was over.

But the tards on this board thought he was just returning home to discuss with his family. So naive.

Yep. What is your point. Franklin is voted best small city to raise a family in every publication that addresses the subject

I knew this would happen

1. He is a midwest guy
2. Orgeron will be on the hot-seat next year(job Security issues)
3. Brian Kelly has a better reputation as a Head Coach
