USM deserves all the credit. They were the better team.
The fact that right now they are better than LSU shows us
that PM should have retired 3 or 4 years ago. When STONEY
BROOK comes into your house and whips you shows how the
Tiger administration allowed PM to stick arround way to long.
Just like the FB program it was a slow death. When coaches
lose their enthusiam its time for a change. The long term
contracts are killing AD departments ability to make a
change when it`s really needed.

Congratulations! The Super vs Ole Miss should be great.

Understand a lot of ya'll are probably still pretty salty. You're not used to losing and don't want to hear from opposing fans. I get it. But I did just want to say that you guys should be proud of your team. They played their hearts out. It just wasn't there on the mound.
This site is about as open and welcoming as you will find toward reasonable opposing fans who can give and take. That’s probably not saying much, but you won’t immediately get banned just for showing up. Most of us appreciate your comments.
It’s the trolls who only showed up to talk shite when you guys took a lead who were insufferable.

By being a #2 seed in a regional and losing to southern Miss? Nahh
I knew at least one knuckle head would be in here
The atmosphere at that regional was electric. Makes me miss the Box of old. I hope and pray that atmosphere returns, because lately it’s like going to a funeral. Time to get that place hopping again! Major reconstruction needs to take place and open that place up like the Miss State’s and USM’s of college baseball are doing with their fans! The Box has become a graveyard and it’s quite depressing!

Realize that if this was true, we may not have gotten the coach and players we have now. And it could have been worse. Count your blessings.

I'm so sorry that you were exposed to our "Throw it in the dirt" guy. Most of us can't stand him.

Not gonna lie.. I was nervous the entire time. The past month something has been off with the team.
Friday I was concerned that we played Hall instead of one of the other guys and didn't save Hall for Game 2.
Afterwards ok, maybe it was a good call.
Saturday I was glued to the game and got extremely frustrated when the wheels came off and refused to stay glued to it Sunday. When I saw we had another game with LSU I wondered if that was it. Extremely proud they won.
But yesterday the question was who would we put out there. When I kept checking the score was nervous and even going into the bottom of the 9th I was like this isn't enough, LSU has proven twice this tourney that they can overcome that and more.
Happy we won, but now looking to Saturday and realizing we climbed over one mountain, now we got another to scale.

I went to all the LSU games this weekend, and had a blast. That was a very fun regional to attend, and if you love college baseball, then this weekend was just fantastic. Sat next to nothing but USM fans on Saturday night, and they were all very nice people. I didn’t have any issues with any USM fans, even after we won. Of course there are always a few knuckleheads, and we have more than our fair share, but the USM fanbase is fantastic overall, and is what makes college baseball so great. Will be rooting for y’all the rest of the way. Y’all have what it takes to make a run, and that’s a very deep and good pitching staff. Timely hitting as well.
Just remember what OMAHA stands for:
Ole
Miss
At
Home
Again
Y’all will beat them. Best of luck the rest of the way.

Thanks. Our guys fought their asses of, but so did yours and they came out ahead. Sargent (among others) is clutch as hell and the pitching staff is nasty. Y’all have basically inherited and earned the 6 seed from here on out so make it count. Beat Ole Piss and good luck in Omaha!

Southern Miss was the better team, congrats. I think Ole Miss wins for sure, but hope I’m proven wrong.

I commend USM fans for bringing the energy all weekend.
Y'all even took over our LSU chant.

It was a great regional (from a competition and game excitement standpoint). Good luck to USM in the Supers. I think they can actually make a run in Omaha with the pitching staff they have. Great pitching teams usually do well, plus they have enough bats and power to do well also.

We'll see.
Ole Miss has been on a run as of late.
Last game we lost to them 4-1. That game we pitched:
Matt Adams
Justin Storm
Tyler Stuart
Chandler Best
Isaiah Rhodes
Garret Ramsey
That is our mid-week crew. We also had a couple of injuries and they were back healthy.
We played them a month earlier, won 10-7 and was healthy. Pitchers were:
Tyler Stuart
Chandler Best
Isaiah Rhodes
Dalton Rogers
Garrett Ramsey
Landon Harper
They haven't seen Tanner Hall, Hunter Riggins, or Hurston Waldrep
Ole Miss is dangerous, but anxious to see how our weekend guys do against them.
