Chimes doesn't have brunch food except for Sundays just an FYI. Really great creole food but if you're looking for a benedict of something go elsewhere

Agreed, just found Elsie’s a couple of weeks ago, really good food, good prices. Overpass Merchants have great food as well and makes a good Moscow Mule.

Mason's on Jefferson Hwy is the best.

Olive or Twist is my favorite. They have bottomless mimosas. I usually get the steak and eggs, really good. Decent prices.
Ruby Slipper and Another Broken Egg are great brunch spots as well.
Mason's is another solid option.

Coming from out of town and since this is 8 PM kick we are thinking of brunch around 10:30 before getting to campus for tailgating. What are some good brunch restaurants? Good food, atmosphere and banging drinks.
Close to LSU:
Chimes
Parrains(may only be Sunday)
Ruby Slipper
The Gregory(In Watermark hotel downtown BR. NICE!)
Stadium Grill in LauBerge Casino
Within 20 minutes of campus:
SoLou(new NICE atmosphere, patio, drinks)
Masons Grill(This place will be FULL of LSU Fans heading to game)
Elsie's
Willie's
Smiling Dog

Yes you can order booze at Louie's on a Saturday Morning. I think it has to follow restaurant rules so probably not before 1030am. Packaged liquor rules would allow service at 6am.

Not sure where you are parking…
But newks parking lot ( they went out of business from covid) charge 40 dollars to park for game day ..(newks used to be mr gatti. ) the building owner sits there with your car..
Louie’s is next door …they expanded their menus a little and have some nice things similar to chimes for breakfast…(chimes is up the street walk from newks)… you could park there and leave your car all day
If Louie’s …get three egg Mitchell omelet
If chimes I like the boudin omlet
You can get Bloody Mary …..beer etc at both places…

Go to Chimes. And get there early. Good parking spot on the church parking lot 50 yards behind Chimes to your left.

Mason’s is crazy good food, game day atmosphere. Dozens of TV’s, bottomless mimosas, and outrageous Bloody Mary’s.
It’s all you can ask for.

Is Mike Anderson’s as good as it once was?
Posted on 9/29/21 at 8:22 pm to Margeaux140
Anderson’s is good….
They have a lunch special each work day…
Very nice portion and taste of different specialty plates….reasonable price… if you go after business lunch time you can sit with us “ upscale Lubys crowd”
