But, this move isn’t likely to make him much more money. He has just as much of a shot at a high draft slot at LSU - the guy he played next to is literally about to be a top-10, probably top-5 pick.
Is he really stupid enough to think LSU DB’s don’t get drafted high and paid?

We don't want players like Ricks at LSU
Aside of wishing him nothing but failure, aren't we glad he left?

Bama is the top program but it’s not the only program. there are other programs that can do just as much for him.
Ohio state, USC, Michigan..
Why does it have to be Bama?
In boutte’s case he better hope Saban gets him to the promise land cause no ones employing him or looking out for him in Louisiana if he pulls that move

I’m honestly surprised he’s not going to USC. As much as I’m glad we didn’t get Riley it seems obvious he’s a fun guy to play for.
Hell I just wish they had hired him 2 years ago because Young would’ve 100% stayed in SoCal.

All of us aren’t emotionally tied to LSU as others are. I’m an alumnus. Class of 89.

So, why are you on the board?
Also, don't act like Bama (or any team) would be "ok" with a star player going to a hated rival.
Bama has one of the worst fanbases in CFB.

I raised my kids right. Even if my son wa s the number one recruit in the country I guarantee he would NEVER go to Alabama - ever.

Bama’s campus life is far better than LSU’s. Period. Go visit the whole campus and college town area —- it’s more advanced than LSU’s — I know I’ve been there about 4 times since Summer

So are you just thinking about Will Blackwell and Chancey Aghayere at all hours of the day?

You think Ricks left for this reason?

Even if Alabama paid him life changing money that could set him up for life?
Sounds like irresponsible parenting.

What the frick...I hate Bama as much as the next guy but maybe you should care about your kid more than your Fandom.

No you’re right. Transferring would not have been a betrayal. Transferring to a western division rival is.

Not going to lie had Joe Burrow transferred to Michigan instead of narrowing his choices down to Cincinnati or LSU I’d think less highly of him. At least Joe didn’t stick a knife in his ex-teammates backs.

What if Bryce Young chose to transfer to LSU before this season for whatever reason and put up the numbers he put up this season?
Would you not root for him?

Honestly Broski I would think it was a bitch move to quit on his teammates and go to one of their main rivals even if he came to LSU. If the kid didn’t like it in Tuscaloosa and went back to California, or say a Clemson or Ohio State, I wouldn’t think poorly of him.

Well I’m not a sellout so no still can’t imagine it.

It’s much more like they are offering that fat salary when there is a non-compete clause in place (in this case, rules against tampering), and no one will enforce the legal contracts so they don’t mean shite.
