Les. Hell no. We need a coach who can average ten wins a season.

Miles is a fricking football coach. That's it. A FOOTBALL coach.

Some of you pumpers are really off your rocker. You're like a cult.

What does this even mean? Are you a fan of LSU?

Fans of LSU worship Less?

No. LSU fans love LSU....Less is just a coach. One of many before him, and will come after him.

Just our coach? I hate that attitude. I hate people with that attitude. The coach is the coach of your team. You should be a fan of the team, not a fan of winning.

I hope he stays. This season was basically the most vulnerable LSU has been in awhile, and they still went 8-4 with a couple of marquee wins.

Sure, some folks are impatient and want more. They say "we used to dominate the SEC, why can't we now?", and ignore the fact that other teams have improved, making things a lot tougher. They believe the name of the program recruits itself, and anyone can succeed here.
So, they want another coach. The first thought is to go get a young NFL-type coach who will "elevate" the program with modern schemes; and if that doesn't work they want a young hotshot from a great coaching pedigree who can "maintain" things.

That's what Tennessee did. That's what Florida did.

No. He isnt even our coach. he is A coach.

I'm sure you do hate the mentality. Most religious fanatics feel the same way about their chosen monotheistic god.

of course he's JUST OUR COACH
What the hell else is he? He's not your golfing buddy or BIL or neighbor.
You are a perfect example of someone who can't see past emotions. This is a business.

I can't even respond to this.
You have to be joking.

You love a guy that swindled LSU out of more money by having his friend "attempt" to get him to coach Arkansas?

how about we start with competing for a division title during the last month of the season?

so you're really saying Tenn should have kepy Fulmer?
and Meyer left UF, UF didn't DO anything.
I guess by that logic, UT should have kept Mack & FlSt should have kept Bowden also.

The only reason why many people are even somewhat uncertain about how they feel about Miles leaving is the lack of confidence they have in those who will pick his replacement.

I am grateful to have had Les. However he is trending downward. If we are conceding LSU can't beat Bama, then why step on the field to play football. IS it not the goal of the team to be "champion"? Program has turned into UGA (all the money, facilities and recruits but is always choking) and trending towards an IOWA. Something has to change to move towards relevancy. It really sounds to me like a lot of people don't care for total program success. They just want to talk about what Miles has done in the past. However, wins in the past do not translate to success now. He is getting passed up by the competition.
