who did your illustrations in the book?

Another thing, Bo is probably 10 years older than Vrabel. Bo played for Earle Bruce in the mid-80s and Vrabel played for Cooper in the mid-90s. And by the way, Vrabel takes over when Coach Day's kids grow up and he leaves Columbus for the NFL.

I disagree with those labeling you a traitor. I don't consider one a traitor when one changes one's allegiances because the initial party one held allegiance to changes its culture and principles to those no longer in line with one's own. And that is exactly what you stated as your reason.
Forgiveness and mercy are my calling cards. They are open to all of those who finally see the light.

LOL - I was a freshman in a class with Pelini - he didn’t talk much - What gives - it’a not like I made up
Some story about him... I also ran into him
In an elevator at our hotel in 2007 - he was friendly to me... I was friendly to him... that was it..
Vrabel was an is an interesting cat - does a lot of funny things - at least to a college dude - unless you were the victim of this - such as dramatically flipping a tray full of beers out of a waiters hands ina crowded bar because he didn’t sports it’s a smart a$$ comment the waiter made....
In terms of being a traitor - there aren’t many people alive who didn’t actually suit up for the buckeyes that have more spirit in their blood than me - I didn’t miss an Ohio State TTUN game in Columbus from 1984-2004 - missed the 2006 one only because I had gotten married and Wifey had a wedding for us to go to (some game to miss I know). My daughters can tell you the score of any Ohio State TTUN game from the late 60’s and 70’s...
I’m really bothered at how the Ohio State administration has handled this whole affair - and I’m so tired of hiring one liberal boob to be president after another - each one is worse... Woody is rolling over in his grave regarding what is going on in the country and at Ohio State right now - had we handled this like Nebraska I’d feel very different... I’m also sick at how the BoT handled the Urban Meyer situation - I know what really happened and the way the BoT dealt with it one would think ESPN had a seat at the table...
I mean Urban and Shelley Meyer have sent good luck messages to my daughters before golf events... My girls have hit balls with Jack Nicklaus - they do so every year and he and Barbara send letters and things to my kids.... my older daughter is starting 1x1 sessions with Tim Kight next week - so I don’t need your diatribe one how I am a traitor.... Woody Hayes has such a tremendous impact on my life - I went to his memorial service as a kid... I’m not leaving the school - the school is leaving me - if they keep this crap up - is alumni deserve better - those players deserve better
What I see from the SEC are universities that actually appreciate the culture that has been built over 100 years - I’m not seeing it at my alma mater unfortunately

Note Bauerman is talking trash to the sidelines - Coach O might (rightfully) do the same thing...

I hated the way it ended for Woody...

You just don't abandon your team. You are abandoning Jonathan Cooper and Justin Hilliard, Shaun Wade and Justin Fields. Why? Because a liberal boob is president? President Johnson doesn't take office until Monday. I'm sure she's a liberal. Probably 90% at least of university presidents in the Big Ten and SEC are liberal boobs. Coach Day, the players, and the parents fought to play. Still are today, as the parents protested outside Big Ten HQs.
I believe the reports that Ohio State along with PSU, Iowa, and Nebraska were trying to get Michigan and Wisconsin to play. I also believe the reports that Michigan's liberal boob governor and university president wouldn't agree. I think it's time for Gene Smith to retire. He's made great coaching hires, but he's too much of a Big Ten lapdog. We need an AD who will throw Ohio State's weight around in the league. Ohio State means more to the league than vice versa.
But in Gene's defense, his hands were tied. There's a Big Ten bylaw that you can't play any sport in another conference if at least 6 Big Ten schools play that sport. The flip side is the Big Ten will make it a Big Ten sport and support it (there are 28 Big Ten sports) if at least 6 schools play it at a D1 level. Ohio State, Michigan, and MSU used to be in a hockey only conference with ND and Miami. Wisconsin and Minnesota were in a separate conference with Minn-Duluth and NDSU for hockey. When Penn State decided to start a D1 hockey program, all of the other schools had to leave those other conferences for Big Ten Hockey. Same for lacrosse when Johns Hopkins joined.
This has been a depressing and discouraging 10 days. It's clear to me only four schools wanted to play. I wish Ohio State and the other three could break away and poach some schools from other conferences to start their own. But 14 of the 15 Big Ten schools are AAU members (Nebraska was, but was kicked out because it's med school is in Omaha). Big Ten fancies itself as the public Ivy, and in many respects it is. Only the PAC 12 comes close with I think nine AAU members. Each school makes a billion or more each year from medical research (except Nebraska with "only" $800 million), and that's a lot more than $57 million from football.
Last year's team was the best Buckeye football team I've seen since the 1973 and 1975 teams, who were also snakebit. Would have loved to see them go up against Joe, but JK unable to hang onto two TD passes and a blow out ended up being left in the hands of Gerry Hodges in the replay booth. I'm sure the LSU guys can tell some stories about good ole Gerry. Being an Ohio sports fan is a curse. I'm also a Browns fan, and the two decades of dysfunction in that organization make the 70s, 80s, and 90s Saints look like the Steelers. But I'll never stop being a Browns fan. Being an Ohio State fan means every year we have highest of high hopes, but maybe once a decade are those hopes actually fulfilled. But it could be worse. My Dad was on his death bed in October 1997 thinking he was going to finally see a World Series championship since 1948 with Jose Mesa on the mound, bottom of the ninth, one out and the Indians in the lead. Nope. Up 3-1 against the Cubs? Nope. The drive. The fumble. Throw it in the lake. Nope. Nope. Nope. I knew this Buckeye football season would be cancelled. I just knew it. It's a curse. I just didn't think it would be the Big Ten cancelling it.
Ohio State didn't cancel anything.

Yes they did. Your university prez was in favor of cancelling. The only two B1G schools who were against it (presidents) were Nebraska and Iowa.
Blame your president. Pretty much all the ADs and coaches want to play, but they don’t have the final word.

Wrong. Were you on the Zoom call? Like I said, Ohio State’s president-ELECT doesn’t take office until 8/24. She couldn’t have been on the calls. Gene Smith, the AD, was. He communicated with President Johnson and she was in favor of postponing to start the season 9/26.
