It was better when they slowed the tempo down after the singing. It jazzed it up so much more.

I get tradition, however a 17 year old recruit from Florida that’s on a visit would rather light shows and DJ than “hey fighting tigers” and band music.
Ever notice how this is the excuse for every tradition change they make? Recruits like it is the battle cry for those who confuse change with progress.
Maybe if they don’t like the uniforms or the band, they might be a better fit for Oregon.

sounds like they ruined the gameday experience now. sad.
The band is a HUGE part of what made college ball so much netter than NFL.

I went to the Florida game and during one of the tv timeouts they played this rap song by some chick that was one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard. And I’m not usually one to shite on music just because I don’t like it. It was truly fricking terrible.
And it wasn’t the one towards the end of the game that everyone knew the words to. It was in the first half.

I never thought I'd see the day the band murdered tradition instead of upholding it.

He don't give a shite about the music, just the check that's going to written in his name.

All I know is the DJ needs to keep that BIG10 bullshite "Mr. Brightside" off the playlist. Let Missouri have that. If we're really trying to impress recruits, it's not the kind that know the words to Mr. Brightside

Apparently the band does not play anymore. Tiger stadium has become a stupid rap concert.

Exactly. They did away with all the traditional band songs by bringing in the light show and DJ. Even between plays. I think it sucks, and I'm not even a Boomer
I've never been one to complain about the piped-in music, but at the Florida and La. Tech games it was noticeable how little the band played relative to previous years.

That's hyperbole....but not by much

That video reminds me of the smoke shows that the golden girls really are. Pretty amazing all are 8-9 (no 10s allowed on td).
