A lot of fans are talking along these lines. Miles and O were both very odd guys.

Kelly carries himself in a professional manor, and he has a confident charisma about him. He will do great things at LSU. He said he likes being on the water, boating, fishing, there's a lot of that here.

I have a buddy who has golfed with BK a couple of times. He says he is very personable in a small group like that.

Not because it is bad, but because it is normal. LSU has had a couple of weirdos at HC for 17 years, and in Louisiana "weirdo" fits in with the general public. It is an odd thing to see a normal guy with the headset.

No more grass eating.
No more loony press conferences.
No more Red Bull smashing or bottle blonds.

It is a good thing, just different.

I agree. Kelly comes across as candid, frank, a little curt, and straight to the point.

Louisiana, generally speaking, is the opposite of that. It's a good ol' boys club consisting of back-slapping and under-the-table deals.

How can you be less personable than nick saban
you do realize that the Nick Saban you see is only when he's dealing with the media. Which he hates.

I'm sure with no cameras around, he's more relaxed and personable.

He's never going to be a warm-and-fuzzy type, but he's probably a pretty good guy in private with his team and family.

Have you seen Saban's AFLAC commercials? Cadavers are more personable.

How so? In what way possible is this a “bad hire”
He has the highest winning percentage of all active CFB coaches.

That's the feeling I get from all of the times I've never hung out with him.

Saban was less than personable when he got to LSU. I met the guy when I was leaving the LSU ticket office in his first or second year on campus. Major tool.

As long as he doesn't like toss dives, eating grass, or calls the opposing team "sissy blues" we'll be ok.

He had a losing season a note dame within last 10 years think it was 2 and 10 or something like that. Maybe his 6th year at notre dame. Other than that his career went ok over there but didn't win the big one. LES miles did ok at lsu and only won the big one 1 time. Hope Kelly does well and hopefully win it all multiple times and will leave it at that I guess

Marcus Spears said it best on ESPN. We finally have a Football Coach that is all about business. That will always change how the national medial looks at LSU.

Now we need SW and CBK to clean-up the Compliance Office. No more waiting months or a year to find out if a student-athlete is eligible to play football.

BK is much nicer than 2001 Nick Saban. Saban basically talked to the media and fans like we were idiots. Granted we were back then b/c we had no idea what was ahead. Catastrophe Syndrome & brook trouk look.

You make a point.
Sure BK is a regular coach.

But why guarantee him $95 million? That was a stupid move by Woody.

Because that’s what the market will bear for a coach of his pedigree now.
