Where's Saban in that list?

Wow, guess that makes him invincible. ULM and UAB raise their hands though.

What continues to puzzle me is how people refer to the national championship game itself as an example of how poor a coach Miles is. I believe a more glaring example is his utter failure to change after the Georgia game. That 1st half offensive performance should have been a crystal clear indicator to him that things that didn't work against UGA would never work against Bama's D yet he rolled the same old crap out there. Stating the obvious, its what happened in the weeks between the Georgia game and the BCSNCG that has me wondering what kind of coach he really is.

Is Miles a better coach than Saban?

Like I said earlier, he can be stubborn. He has certain traits that frustrate at times (keep in mind no one is perfect) but you can't knock his accomplishments unless you simply don't want to acknowledge them for whatever reason.

This is a futile thread though. People will believe what they want.

Look at his head to head record. You tell me.

Head to head

You're right. Whats interesting is how many people hated him early on here because he wasn't Saban. He won most of the haters over after 2007 only to lose them again after some of his snafus. It's like Les has bandwagoners like many team do. They jump on and off depending on current circumstances. I don't know if the guy will ever have majority loyalty among the fan base. Of course, he doesn't do a lot to help his cause. And like many have said: I don't think he cares much either.

I agree. I said earlier, it's crazy how many actually despise the guy. I do not get it, nor do I want to.

But I agree with this.

ok, tell you what, I'm a REALLY nice guy with LOTS of integrity, so how about I give you 1000 dollars and you give me back 3000 dollars?

Let's keep doing that everyday until you get the point.

I got your point. I also said compare the two head to head, you didn't do that.

Anyway, you asked me a question, I answered. My answer isn't one you agree with and that's ok.

Well he led us to a 13-1 season last year, and we're preseason top 2 this year, so, yeah, I count that as improvement.

huh? My premise is Miles made adjustments.

Ford maintained his carries and production. Ware lost the title of featured back. What part is hard to understand.

You specifically stated that Ford got 10 more carries than did Ware in the last 6 games of the regular season. I countered that Ware was suspended in one of those six games. And that he averaged over 13 caries per game. Thus your premise was disingenuous.

The Miles adjustmentts you now mention were not a part of your original premise to which I responded. Of course it is harder to hit a moving target if you will change the premise when the previous one has been shot to hell.

Ware's carries decreased because of injury, not some ephiphany from Miles that Ford, the leading rusher on the year, should get more carries, In fact, as I noted, Ford only had the most rushes in two games all year. Thus your premise that Miles made adjustments is patently untrue.

KH says hello. He is number 27

Ware's carries decreased because of injury

Whoaaa you stated that Ware had 13 carries a game...surely there was no decrease as the season progressed.

I will counter that Ware was nicked, and had a decrease in productivity...then Miles made very productive decisions with running backs other than Spencer Ware.

Miles made adjustments

yes he did
