Gonzaga lost less games and there was schedule was at least as tough as ours, probably tougher.

Gonzaga should be seeded ahead of LSU.

California,Boston College,Texas and Arizona State should not be. Our 8 seed is a joke.

The other dumbies who have no idea what this crappy seed means for the Tigers.
It means a disappointing season because some jacks in a office stroking each other obviously do not watch, keep up, or even know what the hell is going on out there on the courts until the last weekend.

Where to start. If you call SEC champions a disappointing season for a school that can hardly get thier fanbase to games, then I'm sorry you lack perspective. You are yet another close minded LSU fan that isn't realistic.

It's not do to "jacks in some office" it's due to us playing one of the easiest OOC schedules BY FAR. We only played 3 decent teams out off confrence and got beat by all three.

On top of that we lost 3 of our last 4, two of those to non tournament teams.

I think we should have gotten a 6 or 7 seed, but you really can't argue too much with us basically playing no one this season.

You must be about the only person in the WORLD who thinks the BCS system gets it "right". College footballs system is stupid. In college basketball you earn your championship on the court.

That's pretty freaking hilarious when you consider the BCS Champ is very deserving every year whereas the NCAA basketball champ can't really say the same thing.

You really think a 1 and done 65 team tourney tells you who is the BEST team in the nation?? If so, that is pretty naive. It tells you who is the HOTTEST team in the nation in March, that is all.

College football champions are a MUCH better representation of having the best team as the champ, not even close really.

We got screwed

we limped down the stretch in a shitty SEC with an even shitter OOC schedule and no good wins... there's your explanation.

We have already played crappy teams. Thats why we are in the NCAA. Now we are gonna find out how good we are.
Win 1, top 32
Win 2, top 16 and so on.
It just sucks we have to play a top 5 team. And in their back yard.
We win our regular season title, and it does'nt amount to shite, except the no.1 seeding in our on tournament, thats played in Fla., WTF.

I'm hoping your post is dripping with sarcasm because if it isn't it's a ridiculous stance. You must be about the only person in the WORLD who thinks the BCS system gets it "right". College footballs system is stupid. In college basketball you earn your championship on the court.

Win or go home. That's how it should be in every sport.

The two systems are very simmilar. CBB has a 64 team playoff and CFB has a 2 team playoff. The invitations to each are impacted to some degree by media/human perception as well as prescribed objective metrics.

Eh.

We've played better "average" competition.

Gonzaga has played more top 50 teams including the #1 and # team RPI teams.

I'll take that schedule as tougher than LSU's whose toughest team they played all year was probably Utah.

And as much as our conf. schedule was tougher than Gonzaga, there out of conf. schedule was MUCH more difficult than ours, not even close, so it equals out.

Unless you finished the season ranked #1 or #2, you don't DESERVE anything. Consider yourself lucky to even have a shot at sniffing the national championship. This is why I think college football has it right and basketball has it wrong. NCAA Basketball: Regular season = Meaningless; Conference Tournament = Meaningless.

FWIW, I agree with this. Although I think LSU deserves a higher seed, I actually prefer the BCS over college basketball's "playoff."

I like when regular season games matter.

Of course you do because media bias helps a lot to get one of those two teams in the game.

Having to qualify for the tournament and then win 6 games in a row against increasingly difficult competition is obviously silly.

Only in the SEC would people believe that the BCS system is a more viable system than March Madness.

Playoffs are overrated.

That said, I would like the BCS to go to a Plus-One format (basically a four-team playoff). So, really, I guess I mean "big playoffs" are overrated.

Both systems are fine for their respective sports.
