I really don't care if the game is canceled. It's just App. State. As long as this Hurricane doesn't hit New Orleans or Louisiana I would be happy.

Amen to that!

I can't believe the irony of the timing of Gustav's entrance into the Gulf. So much for hundred f-ing year storms.

I think what everyone could agree on is to thank God that this team has a head coach who knows how to handle this kind of a situation. GOD BLESS THE HAT!!

If we could recreate another Arizona St. game.....I'll take a game off this weekend as price for admission.

If that is the case, then a decision to cancel the game will have to be made by Thursday evening at the latest.

Geez...reading all the doom & gloom scenarios, one would think we all gonna die from Gustav. Let's be reasonable.

1) latest info from recon aircraft indicates Gustav has WEAKENED as he interacted with the mountains of Haiti.
2) The forecast error at 5 days is nearly 300 miles! As I have said in the past...I want New Orleans to be the bulls eye at 5 days because it won't come here...it will be on either side of the center line track by a large distance.
3) It's far too soon to cancel this game just because some "computer models" say Gustav is coming into the central Gulf.

Today is only TUESDAY. We'll have a much better handle on where the storm is going by THURSDAY, 2 days from now.

Let's take a deep breath and relax.

You're right..but that dosent really matter. If the projected path still has it in our area, evacuations will begin Saturday. No way a game will take place with the major evacuation route passing right through Baton Rouge. Yeah, it blows.

This one does not look good. It is stronger than the one which just came over us. It rained for five days. The lake covered the docks and is starting toward my door again. Went through this a few years ago and had to board up four times that year.

Gustav it looks like will be stronger than Fay. People in Melbourne Florida have never seen anything like it. Hundreds are being drenched and flooded. The fact that the rising ocean levels and ground water levels I believe are contributing to it.

Around Melbourne people were watching alligators and snakes swim around their houses. Even in the interior like Deltona some 180 homes had to be evacuated. The worst is yet to come as the flood waters are now moving from Melbourne down the St. Johns River toward Sanford and on to jacksonville.

Gustav will only just be entering the Gulf by Saturday night. Even if we're still in the possible strike zone, I seriously doubt that evacuations will begin before Sunday for the simple reason that they will not know until Friday where the landfall will occur...and even then it will be a best guess.
