I think the goodwill in feeling sorry for the guy is over after that loss.

I guess it is his fault for not taking Chest out the last 5 minutes of the game. Chest has potential, but man, he was a HUGE liability on the court at the end, and teams know it. It is one thing to miss a dunk, and shoot less than 20% from the FT line, but that technical.....should have gotten him on the bench the rest of the game.

BTW, Carter wasn't much better down the stretch. That one series where he decides to go one on one quickly down the court and take an out of control shot that he missed.....when we should have been running clock. It is one thing if it is wide open (if you aren't chest) but he was defended. Just low IQ basketball.

Did he start doing this job for free? Is he donating all his salary to the childrens hospital?
He is making millions, he can go recruit players we have above average nil funds and this is the result.
Beard at OM has a shitty roster when he got there and now he's not a powerhouse but he's a top 25 team and in the tournament.
Would you know who CMM was if Ja went to another school?

Hope he manages his finances better than his coaching.
If so he is set for life, thanks to Woody.

He can live like Orgeron and Pellini. Ahhh, life is good.

Wonder who will be Woody's next Multi Millionaire.

Yall are all correct and I’ve been wanting him gone since year 1
… agree… me too.. I gave him the benefit of the doubt his 1st season but dam 2 more years of the SOS is enough.. I’ve seen the SOS the last 2 years he’s been here, nothings changed.. he has good players but can’t figure out what 5 should b on the floor together at the same time.. he makes terrible decisions with bench players at terrible times, I’ve haven’t seen him with a clipboard in a team huddle for 3 years, his assistants are coaching them, he stands on the sidelines with his arms folded like he’s babysitting a children’s school playground taking a sip of water becuz he feels the heat and doesn’t know what to do…I don’t see any life in this dude on the sidelines and he’s way over his head in the SEC..he has brought in new players every year but still gets the same results.. not all these players are that bad at basketball.. it starts at the top… he’s not it…

If you want to nitpick one game to absolve McMahon for the responsibility for the worst coaching tenure in the last 50+ years, feel free. But even if LSU would have won last night nothing would have changed. This program is going nowhere. You don’t get to a sub .500 winning % (overall) and sub .300 % (SEC) over the course of nearly 3 years simply because you had a few guys make poor decisions/plays at the end of games. McMahon is simply out of his league in every aspect. It was very evident in year 1 to anyone willing to pay attention and didn’t buy into the bullshite mantra of “this year doesn’t count”. It’s only now beginning to fully sink in to (almost) everyone else…except for the dwindling few who want to maintain the contrarian role simply for the sake of doing so without any factual basis to support it

What an out of touch post. Goodness

Several things can be true at the same time:

1. Yes, he is making millions
2. Yes, he is losing at an alarming rate
3. The team seems to have no identity or direction

But,

4. You can tell he’s pouring his heart into this job and program despite being placed in a terrible situation and it just isn’t working.

So yeah, it’s time to move on, but you people can learn to also be empathetic and feel bad for a guy who’s absolutely trying.

Money is a part of these jobs, but it doesn’t mean that’s why they sign up and how they deem success or failure in their own mind. Except for Coach O who absolutely got lucky and said F it I’m out give me my money

If you’ve listened to the man talk or seen his passion in the locker room early in the season, you can tell. Now he’s simply as or more defeated as we are

Can you give an example of a coach that didn’t talk, or have passion in the locker room?

As the head coach, that seems like kind of a problem. Doesn’t it?

You never want to follow a legend like Will Wade
The next coach will be in a much better spot
You took a chance on a mid major and it didn’t work, some do some don’t
I knew from his first intro interview his personality was not gonna be a good fit similar to Trent Johnson
