Is it the end of the world? No. But the fan in me wants to dominate all the small state schools. Also, I just hate midweek l’s.

So you take a good ribbing from your secretary or your lawn guy. Who cares? Let them have their fun. At the end of the day, they know where they stand on the pecking order.

SLU is probably the better team this year.

The only reason SLU is Top 50 is because they play a hard schedule early

How good of a schedule a team plays is literally the point of the RPI.

Also, the Jordan brothers have been starters/contributors their whole time at LSU, and I know that and don't give a shite about LSU baseball. You special son?

We haven’t had a competent 3 due to injuries, etc. Bryce didn’t play last year at all FWIW.
And I DID SAY AS A DH. Not discounting what happened .
So tell me what position will they will be starters at this year?
Not right or left field.
First base? Not likely.
Third?
Yeah they may spell players from time to time, but they won’t be starters at a POSITION in the field like I said unless someone really really bonds or gets hurt.

Fill in the line up card big boy and show me how they are regulars except at DH.
Which I said.
Read what I wrote next time.

READ THE FIRST SENTENCE:

except maybe in a DH role.

This paragraph is full of ignorance.

Show me your line-up card that shows them as a position player when Smith and Watson come back. What position are they going to take from the current line-up and with those 2 coming back?
Catcher? Nope Feduccia
SS? Nope - Smith or Hunter
Second base? Nope - Broussard
Third base? Nope - Slaughter or Smith
First base? Nope - Slaughter or Coomes or Bryce Jordan - who is the best fielder?
LF? - Nope - Duplantis or Cabrera
Center - Watson
RF - Duplantis or Cabrera
Then what do you do with Webre?

This team is as talented or more talented than last years team except in the rotation.

I’m pumped about this team.

It doesn’t matter if they win that much their RPI will be boosted. In LSUs case, OUR RPI takes a hit. If SLU didn’t play LSU or anyone else that is decent, their RPI would be shite.
My point is we have zero to gain win or lose. We can just not play and have the same RPI.

If my aunt had a penis...

So in your little world LSU playing a (likely) top 50 RPI team doesn't benefit LSU's RPI? Please explain.

Playing SLU benefits LSU because it gives them a midweek team who will be competitive, easy travel there or they bring a lot of fans to the Box if LSU plays at home, and for the last 10 years, until last night, it gives them another RPI top 50 win.

If you can't see how playing SLU is beneficial to LSU then you are truly a dumbass. Yes it helps SLU more because the bottom of the SLC is terrible, but it is mutually beneficial.

And last year, SLU would have had the 7th best RPI in the SEC so that midweek game in March helped more than playing TAMU, Auburn, Ole Miss, Bama, Mizzou, USCe, UGa, and Tennessee.

You prob hate losing at chutes and ladders too. The gap is closing between LSU and several of those crappy schools you speak of. LSU doesn’t have the mystique it had in the 90s. They are just another team to these schools now. Suck it up buttercup.

They won’t be a Top 50 RPI team UNLESS they play LSU.

The less exposure to players when we are tinkering around and happen to lose is more of a hit than it’s worth from a recruiting perspective

really not true in any way... LSU can never be "another team" to players who wanted to get recruited there and weren't
