Florida has a history of stomping on the eye pregame and generally being a bunch of thugs, our guys were just protecting their house.
yeah whatever, but who looked like the thugs Saturday night?
and the Tigers forced Florida to play around the eye during the game. i saw that. thought it was odd, but now i know they were protecting their house. thanks.

He was clapping after the fake FG like a happy clap didn't understand that???

I had no opinion of him. After observing his language and demeanor for a half year, I can tell he's the real deal. I'm very impressed. He's a big picture and small detail guy.

My thoughts have been similar about him. I think FL made a good move with him. That's the part I don't like.

Hell, he was clapping after the fake field goal for a touchdown. I thought that was pretty cool of him.
I agree with the OP but mostly because he's not our coach. I'd be a little pissed if he was clapping for the other team after a "go ahead" fake field goal in the 4th.
There's a difference between being classy and showing too much "sportsmanship."
That is just one situation though, and I agree that he's done a great job with that program so far.

Compare him to when we played Coach Boom last year. Do you think that McElwain would have been yelling and trying to gameplan while one of his players was on the ground getting ready to get taken off on a stretcher?
I have seen McElwain coach 1 game and can tell you that he is a sincere man that cares about his players. That is probably one of the biggest reasons why they are playing se well for him right now.

I'd like to see him get a hold of some crest whitening strips, but other than that, seems like a good hire for them

I took it as a "you got us on that one" move on his part.

I'm pretty sure our players do their fair share of nut punching , eye poking, etc. when trying to get the ball. Its pretty common in football. Not saying it's right, but this is nothing new.

I thought I was the only one who noticed this.

I said this during UT game when they were getting pounded, and he started making "frick this shite" calls we are getting back into this game or losing by 40. He is a class act and damn good coach. Florida is the sleeping giant of the SEC, and I think he will wake them.
And in his attitude of going for on 4th, etc he is like Miles. He is not afraid to take a chance, and seems to support his players but also os a no nonsense guy. I think people are going to want to play for him.
I think he was clapping on FG, saying OK you got me on that one, we are OK guys. I also think he liked the call, although obviously not against his team. I bet you that Florida runs one of those "Miles fake punts" this year. I bet they do it against Georgia. Ritch would never see it coming. Or against us in SEC Championship game.

Decent. Unless you meant it seemed like he was falling down.

Who knew he was Colin Cowturd's roommate in college?

He was clapping trying to keep his teams morale up. How could anybody think differently? Coaches do it all the time.

I thought that was a damn good football team, very well prepared, executed and took advantage of our mistakes...decent chance this wont be the last time we play them this year.

For the life of me I can't figure how Tebow ended up playing with the THUG gang. I have a good friend who is a Florida fan and he is a good guy. But his team is pathetic and I don't understand how they let this mentality go on and on. Glad we beat them two in a row. At least they can't run their mouth
