Jones needs to hit in the # 5 spot
1-Curiel
2-Pearson
3-Frey
4-Dickenson
5-Jones
6-Hernandez
7-Braswell
8-Milam
9-Stanfield

For the rest of the season!
Forget lefty/righty
No pinch hitting for the mashers.
Quit fricking outsmarting yourself
Coach Jay!!!!!

Bro a lot of people in here were shitting on the 2023 team the same way.

There was negativity but people also knew that team had real star power and a list of guys that would make it to the show. This team doesn't have near the firepower of that team. Honestly who from this lineup breaks into the 23 lineup?

This is exhausting, make the best lineup regardless of which side they hit from.

They just can't hit decent SEC pitching. I'm with everyone else, CJJ needs to hire a good hitting coach and let him handle it.

So riddle me this cuz, what does a new hitting coach come in and teach them to do different against all this effective SEC pitching that they don't already know? What's the one difference-maker our current hitting coach forgot to show them?

Do we have a legitimate hitting coach that can teach discipline at the plate. Jared Jones is a perfect example of this need. Sure, he can hit it into the middle of next week if the pitcher serves him up a meatball, but he swings at way to much junk. I've never seen a team that looks at so many strikes and swings at so much junk. Very frustrating.

e amount of swings and misses is very alarming..across the line up

Early in the year, this team was very patient and rarely swang at bad balls. Now we strikeout swinging at balls multiple times per game.

The first 3 needs to be

Curiel
Jones
Dickinson

That’s the best and most effective first 3 in my opinion.

Frey and Brown are not in the same category…. Frey hitting 70 points better with double the homers and more RBI in fewer ABs

Now do SEC only stats

Then focus on SEC Runs Batted In.

We've got to get back to being patient at the plate and stop trying to murder everything
When I went through the stats in the other thread, I was surprised. I feel like the hitting is worse than it is statistically. Across the board, LSUs lineup is near the top of the conference in everything except HRs. I haven't been able to find RISP so I can't comment on that. It's got to be low because LSU matches up in every other category; 1s, 2s, 3s, BBs, etc.
