Doesn't matter who's behind center. LSU. Just isn't good on offense. Our offensive line leaks like a sieve

Put in Johnson. He can’t be any worse than Van Buren.

I kind of agree with you but what’s your nickname for Sharpe if Sir Drops-A-Lot is taken?

Lot's of QBs get drafted to teams with terrible OLs. Maybe it's a chance to pick up his game and reputation.

Nuss is better than MVB...I think we all realize that now. Nuss had a horrible year in large part due to the OL being one of the worst in college football history. I don't think Nuss was ever as good as the hype made him out to be. Last year he peaked and I think you could see the signs of what he became. That being said, he's much better quality than MVB outside of a scramble run scenario and even then MVB doesn't always do well.

I doubt he would play after getting benched.

I agree….and because MVB is just an average runner, he still only gives you the ability to scramble on a broken play…which does happen quite often however….

He can sling it pretty well when his feet are in sync and he’s confident…not very accurate though…

The coaches aren’t doing him ANY favors with play calling and scheme

Bum…. Wow. That kid has given his all to LSU program.
He’s a very good QB with the right direction and OL.

You tiger droppers keep blaming the QB. So many people on here don’t understand football. No QB can win or be remotely good when he is running for his life on every single snap. It’s just not possible. Give LSU any college QB out there and the result will be the same. Blaming the QBs is very short sighted.

I think most people understand that the OL is so bad nobody can play well.
But we have no good choices at QB in these circumstances.
The disappointment in MVB has caused the Rant to do what it always does: yearn for the guy on the bench, who happens to be Nuss.
They now want to remember the Nuss who is a capable passer, but forget the Nuss who is a turnover/ sack/ time out machine when he is panicked.
Against the Ok. DL he will panic. Nuss in full panic is the option to be compared to MVB.
I don’t have a big enough sample to know what MVB will likely do against OU, but Nuss will reverse field until he is sacked somewhere in Texarkana, if history is a guide on his reaction to the pass rush.

Just stop

MVB has 10 sacks in limited playing time already

He had a 12 QBR last night, against a G5 team. An injured Nuss has never been that pitiful

No matter how much bullshite you post, you will never live down that you wanted Nuss benched for this guy. NEVER

Yep. Nuss and MVB picked a bad year to play for LSU. I am not blaming any players for the lack of cohesion and consistency that led to this.

I'd love to see them with a competent staff that isnt ghosting their own team.

I couldn't care less. This season is lost. 8-4 and 7-5 are the same, for a team that aspires to playoffs and championships.

Agree, you can’t look at any group on offense and say they’re coached up to the expected level. Oline is clueless the only consistent player was developed elsewhere. QBs have show little flashes but overall play off schedule and generally rely on check downs because they don’t seem to know how to anticipate anything that can strike a D downfield. The WRs consistently drop passes, misread coverages and run the wrong routes. The TEs don’t block, don’t play physical, aren’t consistent pass catchers or route runners. The backs, who are by far the best group, don’t see cutback lanes or press holes but at least they’ve shown some toughness and top shelf ability. This is on the coaching, we know Kelly checked out and did the bare minimum which inevitably permeated through the offense. It can’t be every players fault.

Isn’t he getting paid to play? How does that work? He returns some money?
