That move was so lightning fast, the shot was unguardable. If you blinked you'd miss it.

Who is this Chris Jackson? You mean Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf? No question Abdul-Rauf’s Jersey should be retired. He was amazing.
This probably has a lot to do with his jersey not being retired. If there's ever been any private talks, I'd venture to guess that Abdul-Rauf would decline to have his given name honored.

If I'm not mistaken, he had only two games his entire LSU career where he didn't score double digits.
I think you are wrong. I believe he scored in double digits in 63 of his 64 career games.
He also started the national anthem movement of not standing about 20 years before Kapernick.
He is a legend and his jersey should be in the rafters.

Great listen from the 12:30 mark until about 16:00 mark. Abdul-Rauf recounting story of how he 'schooled' Michael Jordan at a Basketball Camp when he was a junior or senior in High School.
This dude was unstoppable. He was, without question, the best college player I ever saw.

I’m too young to have watched him play. Based on his highlights, he compares to a modern day Steph Curry. So my question is, why didn’t he have a better pro career? Was he just ahead of his time?
He’d kill it in today’s NBA with a team like the rockets.

He played 2 years at LSU, I dont see us retiring his Jersey for a 2 year career. He was great, the game against Florida comes to mind everytime his name is brought up but you have to do something really special if you're gonna retire a Jersey of a player who only played 2 seasons.

That quick release he had was incredible! Never thought I would see another player like Pistol Pete then Chris Jackson arrived on campus!

Like be named first team All-American both years you were a Tiger?

So were gonna retire a Jersey of a player who was a 2-time all American? So Corey Webster should have his Jersey retired too then by your logic.
Just playing 2 seasons and being an all American doesnt equate to having a Jersey retired.

Being an absolutely unanimous all time great is exactly the criteria for having your jersey retired.
And most wouldn’t be mad to see Corey’s name up in the football stadium either.

Story from his high school coach:
"At the beginning of practice, I'd make them shoot 20 free throws," Jenkins said. "If they made them all, I'd let them shoot until they missed. One time during his junior year, Chris made 283 in a row. Delayed practice for 45 minutes. About two weeks later, he made 267. Another time, he made 240-something. After that, I had to start limiting him to 100 because he was using up all our gym time."

The only time he was held in check was against UTEP and Tim Hardaway guarded him when Jackson had two sprained ankles.

Why do you retire jerseys? is it because they could put a ball in a hoop only, or someone to emulate ?

The bar Freds used to run a drink special ($0.25 bottled beer or something like that) if Chris Jackson scored 30 or more points in a game. Midway through the season, they were forced to increase it to 40 points.

Jackson redefined the word "sudden". I don't know if it was because of the Tourette's or in spite of it but he had fast twitch all figured out.
