Where is that developement with Nuss? Are we sure that credit doesn't belong to Denbrock?

You're joking right. Daniels was a diamond in the rough. Nussmeier is slag

He’s going to have to at least get a decent one regardless

I doubt Nussmeier plays again at LSU after whatever shite bowl game we go to

Yes. I believe Sloan helped with JD’s leap from 2022 to last year. Nuss is just a stubborn mule. It’s not always a cookie cutter folks. Also, he is a Co-OC (which he is no good at) as well as a QB coach presumably.

I believe some of that can be contributed to Nuss being a first year starter with a lot of pressure following a heisman QB and having a first round NFL grade before taking a snap as the teams QB1. But I get the sentiment. I agree that Denbrock leaving, along with Daniels being all-world at improvising is the issue this year.

I think you can let the entire offensive staff, minus Wilson go. I think the defensive staff earned another season with the early season "havoc" improvements, and known personnel deficits.

The offense has no excuse for how bad it has been the last 3 games. As complete a collapse as I have seen.

We are running an offensive scheme that needs a dual threat qb without one. Offense is fine.

Sloan has developed one Heisman Trophy winner.
Name the other Coaches, selected by Kelly, that are earning their pay, including Kelly?

Woody has hired three coaches.

Jimbo at A&M
Bo Pelini at LSU
Kelly at LSU

Which has been a winner?

He hired Steve Sarkisian and Chris Peterson at Washington.

Go get a Real OC and move Sloan back to QB Coach for Underwood.

Who is going to select the new OC? Kelly?
Really? What is his resume for selecting coaches?

If underwood flips, go get Tulane’s QB

Underwood has never said he’s tied to Sloan.

Where did all this originate from?

The only reason why I can’t agree with all of this is because if Nuss is that stubborn, that means he’s not doing what the coach is telling him to do. If that’s the case then it’s a coaching problem because you need to deal with that first.
Sometimes, self discipline is a reflection of how a coach disciplines his players. Sit him, discipline behind the scenes, or whatever else works.

He’s getting paid to play, but your job and reputation are on the line as well

Didn’t Daniels give a lot of credit to the VR system that they have?

If Kelly promoted him based on this one kid signing, Kelly needs to be fired. He could have left him as QB coach and hired a proven OC with more than 1 year of CUSA experience calling plays.

Sloan stays, Underwood gets coached by Sloan and never develops.

I dont think that is a fair assessment. Sloan is a good qb coach and would certainly develop underwood but myself and most here prefer someone else calling the plays.

I believe JD gave a lot of credit to spending time in that VR. Perhaps it should be named the quarterback coach. We wouldn’t have to pay it, we already paid FOR it

If Underwood is making his decision based on Sloan his decision making is highly questionable.

"(Sloan) played a pivotal role in my life," Daniels said. "Just challenging me in different types of ways and just the relationship that we built over these past two years. You know, just to see me grow in little facets of areas that I need to improve in."
