3 or 4 depending on the other games. No lower than 4. Same for LSU and Clemson.

While LSU has had a great season, it would be utterly illogical not to put UGA #3 and LSU #4 in that event.

While agree with you have you seen some of the decisions this committee has made? Logic does not play huge part in their decision-making.

The playoff committee hasn't gotten a playoff wrong yet. I saw that as an Ohio State fan whose team was left out twice.

Accepting everything else, are you not intellectually honest enough to admit the drops and rises in rankings last week was absolute nonsense?

True

But in this case, it would be a no-brainer.

UGA's win over LSU would - at the very least - cancel out LSU's win over Bama. May possibly be considered more impressive, considering how strong LSU is.

Shared wins over Auburn and UF, so those cancel out.

UGA also has a win over current #15 ND and would have the head-to-head win.

UGA would be ranked ahead of them.

Wisconsin at #8 is fine. Minnesota shouldn't of dropped as far as they did. Cincinnati should be around 24 or 25 if ranked at all and Michigan should be around 17 or 18.

They stay #1. Quality loss.

I love that SEC fans have to deal with what B1G fans have been having to deal with for so many years.

OSU loss plus chalk otherwise

LSU
Clemson
OSU
TBD

LSU loss plus chalk otherwise

OSU
Clemson
UGA
LSU

OSU and LSU loss plus chalk otherwise

Clemson
UGA
OSU
LSU

Blowouts or otherwise abysmal performances in any of the above losses changes things.

Baylor, OU, and Utah fans better go out and buy some purple and gold.

Nah. The committee determines that as complete as OSU is even with a loss they are dropping the championship to 3 teams, OSU remains #1 and has a first round bye.

I the interest of “fairness” the committee further determines that the would be #4 team can “contribute” its best players to the #3 seed and the composite #3&4 team play LSU in round one.

Absolutely. And I'm already on record saying the committee is a clown show.

They would cancel the CFP all together and just name Ohio State the national champion because they are the most complete team in the country and they would have the missing piece in their resume that LSU does not. A quality loss.

They will drop to 4. Unless Clemson and/or LSU loses.

They’d probably move them up and give them a bye in the playoffs cuz Wisky would then be ranked number 2 and you can’t fault a team for losing to the number 2 team.
