As opposed to all the douchy liars saying they don't go to weddings during football season and claiming all these fake smart-arse comments they make to their friends and their wives.

In reality, they're at every friend's cousin's goddaughter's wedding every other weekend, happy to use the open bar, give their tipsy wedding horny wives four inches for 30 seconds, and watch the game anyway (demanding that no one spoil it because they have it waiting on DVR, even though they are following on their phone, and bitching like women that their Saturday night is ruined).

All about the upvotes, brah.

I don’t get invited to weddings during football season, they already know and don’t bother. Many years ago my brother who isn’t particularly a football fan. Him and his fiancé consulted the LSU schedule before even planning their wedding and he asked me to be best man.

Another grammar win

If your friends have a wedding during football season (or any time of year) and don't invite you, it's not because they know it's your all-important football season and you can't be disturbed. It's because they don't care if you are there, because you aren't really their friend.

Let me be explicit with this: If you aren't invited to your "friend's" wedding, that means you are not a close enough friend for them to care. No matter the conflict or time of year.
If they told you they didn't invite you because it is football season, that means they intentionally scheduled it during football season so they didn't have to include you.

Exception would be if it is a very small ceremony with no contemporaneous celebration (e.g., My wife and I woke up one morning and spontaneously decided to go to the courthouse and get married).

I promise the bride does not give two flying fricks about your football watching schedule, especially not to the point that she will not invite you to her fricking wedding out of courtesy to your sacred Saturday.

If this were a real story, they would at least send you an invite, and you would know many months in advance, because they would at least expect a "No" RSVP and a gift. Again, if you were their real friend.

I swear to God none of you assholes have ever been involved in an actual wedding, or you wouldn't make up such nonsense. Do none of you have wives or sisters or even female (or male) friends?

OP will be at the wedding next weekend. His wife will flirt and dance with other men. He will get upset, drink too much, and ultimately disappoint her in bed. She will go on Reddit and pleasure herself with a stranger.

Anyone wanna lay odds on any of these statements?

My wife knows that she’d be going solo. No questions asked. If someone invites us to anything during football season, she laughs and says “well if I go I know it will be alone”. And she’s good with that. Hell if it a home game she’ll be at the game too. People know I have 12 Saturday’s a year blocked out. You want me there, work around those 12 weekends. Selfish? Sure. But I pay for tix and I’ll be at the game.

I have tix to Ags game. Nephew getting married that weekend in orange beach. Yeah, I’ll be in college station.

Years ago a UGA friend of my wife was getting married. She chose a UGA bye weekend.

Wouldn’t you know it that the Braves made the World Series.

She had TVs set up in her reception.

I was very impressed with her for that.

I had to attend a wedding during the 2014 game when OM was #3. It was my wife’s relative. They didn’t have a TV setup to watch the game so I spent most of the night watching it on my phone. Wife was sorta pissed in the moment but we’re still married 10 years later lol.

you can get banned for even suggesting this. I had family on my wife’s side years ago done this same shite. I got guilted into going. I’m thinking well surely they will have the game on, NOPE. The groom didn’t like sports. I told my wife I was surprised he wasn’t marrying another man

It's time to start thinking creatively. Staging your own kidnapping can get pulled off with just a little help from a friend. And the best part, when you get miraculously "freed" on Sunday (or however many days you need off) the wife will be more thankful and grateful for you than ever before.
