You can't expect people to behave with Christian restraint when the only example of Christianity they see are judgmental, self absorbed, hypocritical people, demanding everyone adjust their behavior so they aren't offended.
There is no sin in a word, drink or act of any kind. Sin is in the heart. You only realize sin is in your life when you have a relationship with God. Your demands and complaints do nothing to bring anyone closer to God, in fact, they drive them away. The fact is you don't care that they don't have a relationship with God that encourages them to behave in a more respectful and responsible way. You just want the LSU game experience for yourself and your children. If it wa s up to you the police would drag these people out of the stadium. It would be no different than going to the french quarter festival with your kids to see a band and asking security make the the drunks stop using foul language and to ask the other acts not to play any songs with explicit lyrics.
You would be better off letting your children experience the real world and teach them how to react to it in the same way Jesus did. Hearing a dirty word or seeing an adult image won't corrupt your child. Having them think that you forbid them to even hear that language or ever see an adult image will. Encourage your children to be open to hear and see what other people do and say and react to it based on what they believe. Teach them to love everyone despite what they do or say. If more so called moral Christian people would do this there would be less angry, rude and crude people in this world. We are to be a Light in this world, servants, meek and compassionate. Instead, modern Christians have abandoned those people as a lost cause and just want them to go away.
They won't stop the chant because you tell them too. It will only stop when a majority of the fans feel that it is wrong to do the chant.
So
Don't go to the game. Don't go to Mardi Gras. Dont go to concerts. Stay in your bubble and judge everyone. Or better yet complain and pontificate on a message board on a website named after tiger shite.
Or
Go everywhere no matter how corrupted by the vices of the world and be a friend and an example to people that don't have any reason to care about morals or self respect.
Change hearts not minds.

I am as well.
Out of all the things that go down on campus on gameday, people are mad about a chant that has the word "dick" in it.

As a 35 year old man i grew up in the dome and also watching LSU games. The things I heard from the older people around me were equally egregious. Every generation at some point gets on their high horse and starts getting offended. You need to get off your high horse and realize these are 18-22 year old kids drunk at a football game. They’re doing exactly what majority of LSU fans did at their age. If you have ever said anything vulgar before then you should probably keep your trap shut. I have 2 boys myself and i plan on taking them to a ton of tiger and saints games. They’re gonna hear some vulgarity and witness some drunken nonsense. It’s my job as a dad to teach them not to behave in that manner. Not anyone else’s. I suggest you do the same and quit feeling superior. Posts like this are a joke. If you don’t like it then don’t go to the game.

As sensitive as the OP is, no, there is no difference.
It's a college campus on a game day. If you are offended by STTDB, then stay home. It's not unreasonable for people to chant something like that in that environment.
What IS unreasonable is someone expecting thousands of others in that particular environment to alter their behavior for a child.
OP prolly gets angry at people who drink alcohol in restaurants in front of his children. It's absurd.

Bring your kids ear muffs and ear plugs.

The issue is TV not wanting vulgar obscenities to go out over their broadcast. FCC will fine them. It’s really not that big of a deal though. TV blares their own music over the crowd noise and their songs due to copyright issues. CBS even once commented that they didn’t own the rights to Garth Brooks song (calling BR) and said again about Lynyrd Skynyrd. Hell Bama is worse imo they say “F@€£ Auburn, LSU and Tennessee too” during Dixieland Delight.
I love neck and it’s funny but it’s starting to lose it’s shock value.

Your kids see worse on the internet and from their friends every day. At least the older ones do

How so? Is it more influential because the college kids are older or the amount of people saying it?
Also, question for those that are worried about their kids hearing it. What are your concerns exactly? Longterm effects on your kids' behavior?
