Snowflake. Why does our society have to look for things to be offended by all the time? The American people have turned into a bunch of liberal, non-gender specific pronoun using pussies. Did you also call your kids “they” until they got old enough to specify their own gender? Jesus Christ......

Song can stay, chant should go.
How anyone thinks this makes LSU look good is beyond me.

I’m a 49 year old and saw lots of folks my age or older in my section at the championship game participating in the STTDB chant while it was going on....not a big deal IMO. The student section implemented STTDB a few times over the last couple of years when the band plays “Right Above It”. So it doesn’t matter what song is played, if the student section wants to start a vulgar chant, they’re going to do it regardless of the song being played. Neck gets the whole stadium jacked up(players included as evidenced by JFB doing the hand wave while riding the bike on the sidelines).
Don’t make such a big deal out of playing the song and hopefully the novelty of saying the chant will morph into something else. JMO
As a former Marine....cussing doesn’t bother me like most. There’s a time and place for cussing where it’s acceptable IMO. I bet most here have chimed into a chant of “bullschitt.....bullschitt” a time or two over a BS call from a ref or “a$$hole....a$$hole” a time or two, but all of a sudden “you” deem something is over the top. Flame away.
Not just students doing this at the games...this is from the NC game.

There have been a bunch of snarky comments in this thread, some by me. But, as a serious response I ask this. If you went to the mall and saw a person get caught trying to steal, wouldn't you take that opportunity to teach your kids that stealing is wrong and tell them why they shouldn't do it? If a group of 10 guys in their 20s got in a huge fight in the store, wouldn't you do the same there? Would you be concerned that your kids would grow up to thieves or that they will get into fights all the time?
It's all a parenting opportunity and every parent has a different view of how to teach their kids right from wrong. Shitty things happen in the world everyday and they're going to see and hear these things. Isn't the parent's job to make sure they're equipped to deal with these things?

I stopped right here cuz this is the issue. You think your feelings matter to anyone but yourself.
Personally I’m offended that you are a tiger fan and wish you’d cheer for someone else.
Edit: I want to add that I am not necessarily for the chant. I think it’s played out and not a great look for LSU. BUT, the fact that you’re offended and/or that your innocent little angels will have to hear naughty words is not why it should go away.

I’m tired of everyone being offended by everything and wanting others to change because they’re offended.
You have two choices: go to the games and listen to college kids be college kids or stay home.
This is what it all boils down to. Stop trying to force other people to change just because you're delicate.
Don't take your kids to an event where you know people are going to be participating in adult behavior and then complain about your children having to witness adult behavior. I avoid a lot of events that I wouldn't mind seeing because I don't like what the average person does there. I don't expect thousands of other people to change just because I have a problem with it.

This is becoming as overused as 'racist.' It simply means "anything I don't like" now.

Anyone here with a shred of decency knows and understands this.
I love the song, the energy, etc. The STTDB is just completely filthy and is a bad look. But the idiots here will say something like "ok boomer" in response.

I disagree partially. Bring your kids to the game. Use it as a teaching moment. If someone's being vulgar, look at your kid and say "that's a filthy word and I don't ever want you to use it." People are going to be profane at a football game, whether it's Neck, calling the ref an a-hole, etc. If you can't bring your kid to a game because they'll pick up vulgar speech, that's a reflection of you losing control as a parent.

I don't yell it because I know there are people out there that do get offended and don't want their kids to hear it. That's just me though. I try to respect other people as much as I can.

Had to start at the bottom so I didn’t have to read all of the idiotic reasons some of you morons can come up with to justify ‘neck’. Suppose you and I were friends (God I hope not) and I was at your house playing a board game with your 7 year old daughter. When I win I blurt out ‘suck that tigers dick, bitch’. Would you be offended? Would you have a problem with that? Hmmmm.

This is the correct answer and that's what I did.
It really is a bad look for our fan base when that is loud enough to be heard on TV.
And yes, I'm well aware of what Bama fans do. I just don't want to be like them.

I agree with this.
Also, my personal pride in who I am and the respect I have for my family and university, preclude me from indulging in vulgar behavior.

Yes. That's a private setting at my house where I set the rules. This is the dumbest comparison possible.

Yea, I’m sure your kids will never hear those vile words or say them in their lifetime. It’s football, man. It’s supposed to be rowdy and crazy. If you want good, clean family fun then go to a water park or the zoo, not a football game.
Maybe I am an arse hole for not giving a shite if it offends someone, but everything offends someone these days. Hell, even I’m offended by some things (i.e., people calling me an arse hole for having different views than them...see, it works both ways!)
