Even if it was a slight at LSU. Les Miles has every right to take shots at LSU. The dude won a national championship here, was the winningest coach in LSU history, and he was fired in the most disrespectful way possible.
Like most folks on the rant, I was ready for LSU and Miles to part ways. Although I felt it should have been done at the end of the 2015 season.
But I agree with you that Miles was fired in a disrespectful way. If he was good enough to hang on to going into the 2016 season, He should have been allowed the chance to right the ship and been able to finish out the 2016 season. In my opinion.
And in my opinion, I feel that Miles has handled his firing in a very classy manner. He should be given kudos for that alone, even if people didn't like his style of coaching.

But ask folks who worked under him or besides in the Athletic department. Ask Skip and two BOS members at the time. They weren't crying when he left for the NFL and was amused he asked for his old job back when he had one foot out the door in South Florida.
That’s fake news. Saban was not well liked but he was respected. Skip tried everything to get him to stay.

Yea and I’d love to know if those stubborn jackasses are still amused that they rejected his attempts to come back.
High fives all around fellas. Good one

And to think I argued for years with so many clueless posters, about Miles never being offered the Michigan job. Ever!
Had he been, he would have bolted with the quickness. UM never wanted him. But posters were screaming that Miles had turned them down. Twice!

there is zero evidence that he wasnt a solid coach.
in fact the evidence points to him being a great coach(I wouldnt label him great)
took a program that couldnt get to .500 play 10 of the previous 11 years and had them winning 7,8,9 games.
had the most accomplished tenure ever at top 15 alltime program

2015 oline rankings. lsu # 7
2014 oline rankings lsu #3
2013 oline rankings lsu #16
2016 oline rankings lsu#3
people that get paid to evaluate oline play disagrees with you.
also, what program has the olines that play better against great dlines than they do against inferior ones?

You just linked pre season OL rankings
Well, bama defense for instance was more dominant vs LSU run than many other offenses and, according to your pre season rankings, inferior OLs to LSU as well. I have no idea why a program with such highly regarded OL manage to get bullied.
Losing the battle up front is one thing. Getting your absolute shite pushed in for an entire game is another. There comes a point where it’s either technique or S&C and Moffitt sure as shite wasn’t the problem.
And you didn’t comment on any of my other points so I will assume you agree with them.
I will always have a great deal of respect for Les. But he was not a great HC. He had flashes and he recruited well, but not a tactician and certainly very, very stubborn. There’s a reason his best option post LSU was Kansas.

Yet he was no better than 3rd in the West during that span. Surround yourself with misleading stats to give yourself comfort. Miles is a doofus that ate grass and was clueless to what was happening on the field most of the time.

Yep. No better than 3rd in the West. And that's exactly where the program's been camped out since he was fired.
3rd in the West.

being the most accomplished coach in lsu history is misleading?
-#1 win % in lsu history is misleading?
-as many top 5 finishes as Saban, mac and dietzel combined is misleading?
- as many top 10 finishes as the previous 40 years of lsu football combined is misleading?
those are facts. it's your opinion he wasnt good

then I hope O is too because he wont accomplish half of what miles did

this really only happened against bama.
these type of ganes were the outlier in Miles tenure. we know this because during his tenure no program beat more ranked teams than lsu.
if what he accomplished is so easy why hasnt every LSU coach done it?

But if Les was so good, why weren’t other programs lined up to hire him?
He landed at Kansas, Rick.
Kansas.

because the average age of p5 coach is 44 and he is 65. again I repeatedly asked for this long list of 64 year old p5 coaches getting hired. miles was the oldest p5 coach hired in over a decade besides snyder who had already been a coach at Kansas state.
