I, personally wouldn't go. But ya'll act like the wife is totally against it. How do you know? Maybe they're both okay with it. In the rants eyes this is wrong, I say to each their own.

Example: When a child does something wrong should you beat them, scold them, time-out them, just say no to them, make them kneel on rice, put them in the corner, wipe their fever brow.

Which way is the right one?

Maybe their way is different from yours or the norm but it should be their way.

If you different from their views than pray they have a long and wonderful marriage and end up being wonderful parents along the way.

Yes you can bring it in ; I've seen others with them. However, even though AT&T added 1000 antennas, your signal may still be too spotty, especially to FaceTime.

Sounds like a trap to me;

Missing the birth of your child is one thing, but I can't say that I would risk trying to bring in the ipad....if they refuse, you'll either have to miss part of the game to put it up or throw it away...

Dont listen to all this nonsense. Go enjoy the game. Be a good dad for life and whether or not you miss the birth is immaterial. I cant believe all the sallies on this board ragging you for going. My mom took the bus to the hospital when I was born 'cause my dad was working. back in the day the man would drop the wife off at the hospital and come back in 3 days for the ride home. Now everyone wants to film this nonsense, facebook it and make a stupid photo album. The wussification of America. It will be a cool story 20 years from now if you can tell your kid "yeah I was watchin LSU kick the crap out 'Bama in the dome when you were born". Geaux Tigers.

I see you're from Tampa also. Must be his drinking bud.

Being at the birth of your child is not about photo albums, videos & facebook, it's about the experience and being a father & husband.

Having to work to earn a living is one thing and traveling to see a football game is another.

It's NOT real. I already exposed him by finding a post where he was looking for local tickets to a game AND provided a Zachary phone number, which appears to be for a local, small building contractor. Not a Tampa number.

I watched the 08 chic fil a bowl in the recovery room with my wife, my brand new first-born in her awesome LSU onesie, and the hospital TV, man up and be there at the only real miracle on this earth, not a football game that we've already won at that, this isn't the saints in their first Super Bowl

My sig is a dig at that overrated loser program in South Bend. I think the shot of Brady Quinn exemplifies what that team is all about. I love watching them lose.

I have 3 kids and was there for all 3 births. Its overrated. soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines often miss the births of their children. Some of them weren't even lucky enough to be there at conception either. And yes, LSU v Bama is war so don't give me the crap that I can't make the comparison.

Ranters, I don't recall him soliciting advice about going to the game. He only asked if he could bring his Ipad into the dome,a simple yes/no question.

But since he told us why then I reckon he's fair game and IMO he should go to the game. Sounds like the chances are slim that she'll go into labor while he's gone. He's just trying prepare for the possibility. Besides more importantly if he sales his ticket a Gump might buy it.
