A common thing for players coached by PM.

You're asking a question that you know is impossible to answer and that's bull shite.

Baseball recruiting information isn't nearly as public as other sports.

What about Louisiana kids that went play college ball somewhere else that were real misses by LSU?

Genuinely asking and I don’t care if LSU recruited them at all just in general a in state player that could have helped LSU but went somewhere else. I know of one that was a lefty from LSU-E that went to Miss State I believe and is pitching in the MLB.

The first commit in the 2024 class was at Barbe until the hurricanes moved him out of state.

The only current LSUE player in the majors is Ben Braymer. He's from Catholic High and went to Auburn after LSUE. No idea on if LSU recruited him at any point.

As far as current college players, River Town at Dallas Baptist was at LSUE last year and I wish we would have recruited him. He's from Zachary.

I didn't say that. All I did was provide evidence that your claim was bullshite. Sorry if that upsets you.

You think State isn’t using their stadium to recruit and it doesn’t work? Why do you think athletic departments are spending a ton on facilities? Because it’s fun?

Come on man.

I thought this was a place of heavy sarcasm, and most post were not to be taken seriously. My bad. My post was intended to be sarcastic.

I really can't think of a bunch recently, and I have no idea if we even looked at them.

Ben Braymer
Mac Sceroler
Jacob Waguespack
Kyle Keller
Tanner Rainey
Jeremy Bleich
Blake Trahan
Stuart Turner
JT Chargois
Seth Lugo
Jace Peterson
Josh Prince
Aaron Loup
Johnny Giavotella

There's a list for you. I bet most don't even remember the majority of these guys.

If you go back a few years, you have names like Wade Miley, Michael Aubrey, Wade Leblanc, and Jonathan Papelbon.

At least half of that list are Southland Conference guys that developed in college. Hell, Tanner Rainey transferred to a D2 school from a Southland school.

Jonathan Papelbon

Now you're just pulling up guys by birthplace. He's not from Louisiana even if he was born here. He went to high school in Florida.

And Wade Miley was found very early by Southeastern. Even though Turtle tried to flip him after he committed to SELU, which is something no one was doing at the time.

I played with Chad Gaudin until high school, against Wade Leblanc, Xavier Paul, Thomas Diamond, Tommy Manzella and Reid Brignac in high school. I'm older than you.

Yes, that's what I did but I think Papelbon is the only outlier as far as playing high school ball in LA and going out of state for college.

And, like I said, I don't think we missed on alot of guys. They weren't on many schools' radars.

This board will go wild if both Jack Walkers from Louisiana turn out to be studs and we missed on both.

Jack Walker (Todd's son) at Byrd is a very solid player already. I attend many of their games and he has a great approach at the plate with a ridiculously smooth swing for a highschooler. He hits the ball squarely A LOT. Once his body develops, he will be an absolute stud.

Josh was a year younger than me. Wade is my age. We played against each other since we were 13. He wasn't that good back then. But he played on a powerhouse team with David Roux, Matt Walker and a couple others I can't remember. Those guys were supposed to turn out better than him. He was just a relief lefty who played some RF at the time. Like Josh Wall, he grew quick and picked up some MPH in less than a year. It was crazy to see them go from 75 mph to 90 mph in no time.
