Was Mett even eligible that year?
Yes. He took some snaps late in a couple of games and threw a few passes. I'm not saying he would have made a difference without an offensive game plan that was way beyond the ability of CLM, but yes he was eligible and actually played that year.

From that time on he was dead to Les and would never play again.
Except for almost the entire 4th qtr of the very next game.
If you don't know what you are talking about, it's best just to keep your mouth closed.

The entirety of Lee’s career Vs Alabama.

I bet you believe in bigfoot too.

Wow, you know stuff. BS. Les was not putting him in, he was afraid Lee would crap is pants and throw a pic. Les built the O line to run the ball not throw it. Saban built his game plan that forced Les to throw, and that wasn't happening.

You are 100 percent correct. I apologize. I won't post anything like that again.

I think we can agree, QB play under Les was not entirely the players fault. Zero imagination, Les's nuts where bigger than HRC's. He thought LSU could dominate like John Curtis HS using base plays over and over. Throw in a fake once in a while. Worst offensive minded Head Coach at LSU in my life time.

My bad, I thought he had more TDS, I remember that OT int he threw in Tiger stadium, same game as the pic 6 I believe.

It still pisses me off that Bama was put into NC over Oklahoma State. Not even winning SEC west, Bama should not have been there. I don't see it on this thread, but having to beat a team that you've already beaten, a mulligan game, is like climbing Mt Everest. When two teams split two games, the game that counts for everything is arbitrarily the second one because...?
I resent Herbstreit for vocally campaigning to deny Oklahoma State the NC game. I do think he swayed it to Bama.

Did he forget how during the game?

And as we watched Jefferson literally shovel pass the ball to a Bama linebacker, I think we can safely say he was intimidated as well.

Les not playing Lee or TBob at all for the last game of their senior year was pretty shitty. Les couldn’t even put them in for one snap when they were down 21 points? Lost respect for Miles that day on top of him being a stubborn retard.

Lee would have crapped his pants because he was gun shy against them and the scheme was awful. Bama couldn’t stop the option in November and we came back and ran the same crap over again.
I wish he would have got a series so everyone could just realize that game plan assured a loss no matter who played.

Miles was a really bad coach that skated by on elite talent.

I thought Mett was hurt, or at least that was the excuse.

While I agree with you he ended up with 3 of the best seasons by an LSU qb at the time. Problem was rt after that year is when the shift started to happen and he hired his buddy to run an outdated system in college and should have just conceded and made a similar hire there as he did with Aranda. Young hungry and innovative. That offense could have won it in 2012, but we were littered with injuries to key defensive players and across the oline.

Because les was enamored with Jefferson....because with saban unprepared for him in tuscaloosa, he led lsu’s offense to 6 points. We took out the most efficient passer in the SEC that year, for a bad quarter of play, and never went back to him despite the offense regressing when he was out

LES never recovered from the national championship loss and should have been gone much sooner....
