That is exactly what i am talking about just give him a chance... if he screws the poocg then ok so be it and we move to mettz but for now give Lee a chances is all i am saying

Dude,

If JJ participated in some sort of a wanton assault on innocent bystanders, I'm all for him being pulled as the starter--possibly kicked off the team, if warranted.

But what is it with you guys who think that Lee is entitled to start, or that he's somehow been denied "a chance" that was owed to him. He's been here for four fricking years. He's played behind JJ for 2 years and change for a reason. It's not because Miles is stupid, stubborn, or racist against white people. Obviously he's just not the better option. We've all seen his flashes of brilliance. So have the coaches. Yet no one in a position to make the call has decided that he should be the man.

Give it a rest. I'm all behind him if JJ get's the boot for being stupid, but don't act like that would be some sort of vindication for him. It'll just mean that he walked into a position that he couldn't win on the field.

Why didn't the coaches start him? Why couldn't he secure the spot?

Even after Lee made a good play and scored the next series Jefferson was back on the field... If Jefferson made a good series Jefferson got to stay on the field Hmm... So how can you say he got his chance even when he is hot he was taken off the field...

Someone posted numbers recently. He got plenty of snaps in 10. He did well against Florida, had some clutch plays against Tenn, and threw a crucial pass against Bama. But all in all the coaches decided that he didn't give us the best chance to win. Simple as that.

Under Jefferson....rank 107th. I say it is time for a change. Try a little role reversal, start Lee, if Lee screws up, then go back to Jefferson. Just give him a chance!

Im posting stats that are facts. JJ attempted 209 passes this season, 296 last. That obviously will make a huge diff in ur passing yds. Both qbs attempted 298 passes this year.

This is so much BS. How many of JJs run attempts were supposed to be pass plays? And please include his 18 sacks, and 9 fumbles. Also pass plays.

in 2008, Lee attempted 269 passes for 1873 yds. in just 9 games. LSU would have passed a lot more with him at QB.

You're missing the whole point. He's had a chance. He's had spring and fall practices, games, injuries, etc. The coaches don't want him starting for a reason.

Its not like the coaches are infallible in choosing the qb. Saban pulled Booty in his first season and Rohan beat Tenn in a great gream and then was injured against FL. Saban started Booty from then thru the first half of the Peach Bowl against Ga Tech despite the fact that Rohan was healthy two games after his injury and Booty throwing something like 14 straight incompletions in the final game of the year against Arky. Guessing Saban at the end of the season would have wished he had gone back to Rohan much sooner.

Lee and JJ have been playing together for over three years through three seasons, two OCs, and a new QB coach.

Don't look for the conspiracy. Sometimes the obvious answer is staring you in the face.

He also had to come from behind a hell of a lot. Go look at those games and see when his passing stats rack up.

If JJ did something shady, and CLM sits him, I'll drive the mf bandwagon.

I suppose being the starter for the #4 team in the country, at 2am breaking curfew, getting implicated in a fight in the frickING pariking lot just doesnt matter.
Damint, some of you people amaze me.

Where have I ever said it didn't matter? Any player (not just the qb starting in front of your favorite player) should be kicked off the team that was involved in the fight(if charged). No breaks for the other 3 of the 4 if involved. T-Bob should be kicked off the team if he just broke curfew since he has already screwed up once.

I played in a golf tourn today with 60 other people.
And this was the talk of the day... not the first son of a bitch in the club house aftrewards has your attitude of bla bla bla.. what did he really do? oh hes in college... it wasnt really what they said bla fricking bla fricking bla.

Sounds like a bunch of douches in that tournament if not one of them had the attitude of lets wait to find out all the facts before jumping to any conclusions.

I ask you again,,, is this the characterists and qualities/actions you want out of a SR starting qb at LSU?

Missing curfew I think should warrant some severe in house discipline. Being charged with a felony he should be kicked off the team. And once again I ask you do you know for a fact that JL has ever missed curfew? No you don't.

quote:

This school and football team is better than that and you fricking know it.

I will never be as naive as you are to think athletes never miss curfew. You should be careful with your generalizations b/c if JL is ever found out to have missed curfew he cannot be the QB of this team.

If you'd like to climb aboard it's not too late.

50-50 chance JJ will get to sit for first game.. If Lee starts and plays well I'm not sure if Les will resort back to the former, nor should any of us blame him.

So if you'd like join me on this bandwagon feel free,.. at this point I'm willing to overlook any past greievences some of you have made against 12.
Everyone who keeps up with this board knows Ive been a fan of this kid since he's been here, If JJ dont work out I hope LEE gets his opp and makes the most out of it.

This could be a good redemption story in the making.

I'd rather just support whomever our quarterback is and refrain from joining posters like this.

During the entire debate last week I was consistent in saying neither QB was a very good option and that we would likely need both to win, Lee may be better coming off the bench to limit his exposure, etc.

But given the circumstances I have no issue with handing the team to Lee at this point.

LOL at you for being to simpleminded to wait for all the FACTS to come out.

I have stated my opinion on what should happen to ALL players that get arrested if it happens including JJ. They should all be booted off the team.

What is your position?
