There was the chance that JL could complete a few passes downfield to loosen up their defense. More than likely he'd have thrown a few pics, but it was worth a shot. But I don't dwell on it Bc Bama was (IS) simply equipped to stop LSUs offense and it almost certainly wouldn't have mattered which QB was in there.

What bothers me more is the fact Bama got a rematch at all.

Try watching the replay of the " game of the century " for the answer to that stupid inquiry.

I know right? We must concentrate on Wisconsin! We have to focus and be ready! There's no time on a message board to discuss anything else!!!!

well you're right... I just reviewed all the other scores, and 2008 was BRUTAL from a points allowed perspective)

This is hard for me to believe. At least 2008 could stop the run. Tepper was hopeless against any offense. I bet Tepper stats would've been way worse than 2008 if he hadn't had a good offense supporting his horrifying defense.

I love the pancake block by Blackwell in the gif. He destroyed that guy. JJ could have run untouched for at least 20 yards.

Hindsight for a game that was still within reach.
Lee was OK vs some defenses, but research the JL vs Bama history and doubtful you as a coach would've inserted him..

You do realize our offense in November(when JJ was the starter) was our most productive month of football right?JJ had a very good 2011 season too. Both our qbs played well in 2011.

1tds - 7 ints

Of the 4 games he had against Bama only 1 game he had a qb rating above 57.0.
Not 157.0. Just 57.0
He had 1 game against bama with a completion % above 47%

JLee is one of the biggest what if players in lsu history. What if he didnt have to he out there in 2008.
What if our oc wouldve stopped putting the game on his shoulders in 08?
Everyone could see that he had trouble with pressure and they never once rolled him out.
What if he had a real qb coach to bring him along?
To this day JLee still has one of the most quock and compact releases in lsu history and if the circumstances were different i think he couldve been great

How productive was JJ in the seccg and the ncg rick daddy?

Anybody that isn't extremely biased knows that our offense looked better, more poised and more efficient when Lee started vs when JJ started.

I agree with your last paragraph 100%.

You can cherry pick a game all you want. Fact is Lee was one of the best in the SEC prior to Bama. I can give numerous games where JJ was terrible, NC included.

Fine. I'll cherry pick his entire career against Alabama.

Lee vs. Alabama

2008 - 13/34 - 181 yards - 1td - 4 interceptions
2009 - 4/10 - 44 yards - 0tds - 1 interception
2010 - 4/7 - 67 yards - 0 tds - 0 interceptions
2011 - 3/7 - 24 yards - 0 tds - 2interceptions
__________________________________________________

Total: 24/58 (41%), 316 yards (79 yards a game), 1 td, 7 interceptions

Yeah, Lee was going to "lead us to victory" after Saban had a little over 2 months to prepare.

Not great but they were two top 5 defenses. JLee had horrible games in 2011 too and they werent against top 5 defenses.

This is where you went wrong. Your eyes dont outweigh facts. Im sorry they just dont. Once JJ became the starter our offensive yards per play and yards per game went up. Im sorry if those facts go against what you thought you saw in 2011. We dont beat bama in November without JJ and JJ had the best game of either qb all year against #3 arky. This notion that our offense sucked in 2011 with JJ at the qb just isnt true.
Even with the crap title games he had 6 tds -2 ints 61% completion and a qb rating of 138.7.

We looked better and more poised against everybody except Alabama and guess who we played last? Alabama

Lee was not functioning v Saban. Scared of getting hit.

These are Jordan Jefferson numbers for his entire Junior season and for the UGA and both Bama games his senior year.

What? JJ had a decent career vs bama.
You also cant take away JJ'S decent 2009 season and his decent 2011 season just because it doesnt support your argument.

While many have compared Jarret Lee to Dan Marino pointing out one of the quickest tightest releases in all of football.

I commend him for his greatness and contributions to LSU Football. Why did he not play against Alabama on 1/9? May as well ask why does the moon circle around the Earth.

While our lives may come and go, Jarret Lee's greatness will live on forever in the mysteries of college football lore.

If someone had a pic of Lee face after Hightower threw him down, there was NO DOUBT he wasn't feeling it

Why? because it shows the complete futility of JL playing against bama.

If anything, I bet JL knows how to use the possessive case.
