I'm pretty sure that's the one where BK dropped his head and was screaming at JD.

No I believe that was the 2nd play in the YT clip referenced in OP, which even Rohan criticized as a bad play design.

That route/play was not a good call against the coverage.

No it wasnt

The receiver at the top on the 40 ran his route to deep

Also our OL was so bad that the RB had to stay in and block instead of being out wide open in right flat - he at least makes that CB have to stay closer to the los

So you think a flatfooted safety eyeing the QB can make a play when Boutte is running full speed 20 yards away?

There's a reason their pass defense is so horrid man.

The safety on Kayshon even fell down like you said. That ball needs to be thrown every single time.

It’s very simple. If he’s being coached to make the proper throws and simply refuses to throw it, he has to sit down. You don’t gain anything by him refusing to put the ball up. Explosive plays are huge in college football and we haven’t made very many this season.

Boutte is literally running directly towards the safety. He's not running a go route there

And the S wasn't "flat footed" b/c he breaks on JD immediately after the picture I posted b/c JD makes his intensions known.

Again, if we had a Mahomes or Allen, that play may have worked. We don't, so it was a dumb play. JD is never going to be able to make that play unless the D is perfectly set up to frick it up (and then, we have to pray the OL holds up long enough).

I think they'll keep doing the same thing hoping eventually he's going to air it out. he doesn't get benched unless he gets hurt.

“How many QBs do you know can thread a rope 35 yards in the air rolling across their body? “

He doesn’t have to do that on this play but a lot of em at that level since you ask.

Any knucklehead could have thrown for 6 there, except ours. Good grief!

The original screenshot is a second later than yours. It is clear he is running a deep post if you lead that throw he is past the Safety unless that Safety is a magician.

He should’ve recognized the coverage pre snap but even on first movement you know you’ve got him so it’s an easy throw if you’re playing QB the right way.

Assuming that Jayden could drop it within the confines of a tennis court at that distance.

What’s sad is if you throw it on time you don’t even need to be that accurate. Just hang it out there and let the WR run under it.

It's pretty bad at times. I don't know if he's just used to bigger windows from his ASU days or if he is just petrified to make a mistake, but the kid has got to pull the trigger.

It's great that he doesn't turn the ball over and he scramble when a play breaks down, but defenses have answers for that. If he doesn't stretch the field, this offense goes stagnant.

Yeah when JD started rolling left and the left-deep safety broke on his run and was heading that direction

Had JD stood in the pocket and thrown it, the safety would be turned the other way towards the throw.

When JD started rolling left, it was all she wrote

Yep. Boutte has already gotten inside leverage on the DB and is near even with a safety squared and looking into the backfield 20 yards away. That's a shot you have to take. Even if you don't complete it you now make sure the safeties have to defend it. Those plays are either successful or open up the shorter routes.

What do you do with an employee who refuses to or incapable of performing the tasks he's been instructed to do?

You can say that but he is still flat footed in your screenshot. The point is if the ball is out on time and leads the WR the Safety would have to be Ed Reed to make a play on the ball. Worst case it's an over throw best case it's a TD.
