It appears a&m is just opening up huge holes against very inferior competition and running at will.
I recognize this likely won't translate against a defensive line like Clemson next week.. but they are dominating this game..

They look solid so far, QB play looks improved
Clemson will tell us a lot more about them next week.
End of story. Not much you can really get a whole lot over a week one vs a cupcake team. Everyone is working on something.

If you seriously "want Bama to win" ANYTHING, I question your sanity. All that does is make it worse for LSU
Do you think LSU's strength of schedule will be important at the end of the year if we only have 1 or 2 losses?

I must be getting older because there are clearly too many kids on this freaking board that don't understand how things used to be and how they are now with regard to perceived strength of conference.
Not sure how old you are, but keep up. The SEC was weak as shite last year. Guess what though, Bama STILL won the 'Ship. And all that does is make it easier for them to recruit and especially out recruit LSU.
So now y'all want TAMU to do well so they start recruiting LA well also? No thanks. I'd prefer them to continue sucking so we can continue to recruit TX well.

Auburn to beat Washington and A&M to beat Clemson.
SEC SEC might go 0-2 in those 2 games.........1-1 is the best possible outcome. Clemson will destroy Aggie. Won’t be close

I agree of course. It was a discussion of what is best for LSU's chances of being in the CFP.

Keep up. Two SEC teams played for the National Title last year.. auburn beat both of them... lsu beat auburn.. Miss state mamed LSU... that means that the conference was as strong as ever. That's what you want.
Any team in your conference, if you want to out recruit them, THEN BEAT THEM. YOU GET TO PLAY THEM. Or are you rooting on Clemson to get SEC recruits?... using your logic.

Neither Aggie or Auburn really matter. If LSU goes 11-1 with this schedule we are in.

They're doing what you're supposed to do to an FCS team. I don't know how good they are. I expect them to be improved relative to what they were under Sumlin.

quote:Exactly! Matters not that the SEC as a whole was dog shite. Win and you're in. Period.
Two SEC teams played for the National Title last year.
This "SEC SEC" shite was great in the mid 2000s before everyone realized, damn, the SEC is the shite. But now? All it does is weaken LSU by enabling Bama and others to recruit better.

Why in the WORLD would an LSU fan root for FL after the crap they pulled 2 yrs ago not to mention other yes, and who in the hell that loves LSU would ever root for AL? The SEC didn't stand behind LSU when the petty hurricane got too close to Gaysville FL! Oh.... We don't like AR, Auburn Ole Miss or agggies....

Wouldnt call the SEC weak last year. It was top heavy.

Agreed!!!!!!!!

What about 10-2?
Posted on 8/30/18 at 10:16 pm to Ebridg3
Meh. It only matters if we win. It doesn't matter what anyone else does. We recruit against most of these schools so there's that.

Strength of schedule is more important than ever now that there or 4 spots in the CFP instead of 2 in the BCS.
You must not math much. In what universe is a chance to be 1 of 2 teams better than 1 of 4?
This rooting for SEC shite had a place before the BCS when the media exclusively dictated the champion. But go ahead, root for teams we compete directly against for recruits. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter who you pull for.
Don’t be a cuck.
