I can't stand the way LSU Athletics has looked since November, but I got to believe its bracket or pack it for Jones next year.

Given the obvious talent that Jones has had to work with this past two years, how much time does he deserve? Not being combative but to those who support him, what's a fair barometer of success here?

I'm a big Jones supporter. I want to see him succeed here. Having said that, he must win a NCAA game next year or he's gone.

I agree and it is most likely going to be a tough season next year with a split between the two, but given that 3 of his 4 years seemingly were decent or at least improving, I'm fine with one season.

And for the negatigers, don't worry....if he is not the coach we need, it will show next year. If he somehow forms a team that is tournament bound, then my god it'll be a coaching turnaround.

sorry brag, but this line of thinking is flat out dumb.

Sure let's give the guy one more season with a next to impossible mandate and deal with it then. I mean what's the worst that could happen? You mean besides have a coach going into next year that basically knows he's done, yeah I bet he'll really bust arse on the recruiting trail. I'm sure the team will also really take well to the coaching by a guy unlikely to be there in a few months.

Oh the upside? He somehow gets into the tournament, but likely bounced in the round of 64. Yeah, sign me up for that ride.

Furthermore, the "jones deserves...." line of bullshite can stop here. This season was the one we were all told to be patient for, it would be our arrival or jumping off point, and Johnny shite all over himself and has made a joke of our program on a national stage. He failed, fire him.

Honestly, I really hope he gets carried off the court for his accomplishments:

Problem is they leave after one year and our players never fully learn the system and the coaches can't fully fit the players into the system. Our programs no.1 issue above play calling or depth, is our compete lack of continuity and chemistry. Our guys had no fricking clue how to play to each other's strengths last year. I think if Tim and Tone come back, and we don't have to replace our assistant and start from scratch again, we'll be a better more cohesive team next year.

Well on the bright side at least Alleva will not be hiring a new BB coach. (I assume he will be gone by then)

When the bucket was half full to begin with, it doesnt take very many hands to drain it.

Well, the 1966-1967 team's 1-17 SEC Mark might be tied in '16-'17. What a special 50th year anniversary.
